I’m with ya OP…smoked wild turkey from my backyard

homemade burgers . i ate two and am marooned on the sofa .

Brisket, ham, turkey and a pork belly, smoked.

Clam dip!

Plus everything else.

Roasted root vegis are my favorite side. Rutabagas, beets, carrots, parsnips, potatoes. And brussel sprouts.

Smashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, asparagus.

Apple, pumpkin and pecan pie.

Home made Weizzenbier(wheat beer) and Irish cream.

I'm stuffed just thinking about it.

My unvaccinated Native American children are having smoked turkey.

We taught y'all that too.

Every popular thanksgiving food is symbolic of the struggle we helped the pilgrims through.

From the green bean casserole mushroom soup representing the knowledge of foraging mushrooms and onions we emparted to the candied yams representing the largest part of our root cellar storage to the corn that represents the knowledge of how to cultivate it.

Be thankful to us savages, but at the same time it's ok to hate on us for not letting you starve.

Would have been a better world.

I’m very lucky to be part of a huge clan that includes my mother her nine siblings and their families.

We bring a very big salad with homemade dressings to a very large, traditional dinner.

Way to go coming through with that salad

Hate to sound corny, but take it all in and enjoy it, because there will come a time when it's all gone. Both my parents came from large families with lots of brothers and sisters, but we'd usually go to my mom's side of the family for all the holiday get togethers; full house, all the aunts and uncles, lots of cousins, friends, etc.,. This was back in the 70s/80s and I look back and realize it was actually good times and really kind of fun.

Pork shoulder I butchered myself is in the cooker..I too have been set on enchiladas for dinner. We will see how the lady friend and I feel after we get a few drinks in us.

Reading through my list it sounds excessive but really it’s just a little bit of it all. I cheated with just a Turkey breast & precooked carver ham, 29oz (822g) canned yams I’ll mash and whip into something that hopefully tastes a little like Christmas…

Wife made mashed taters, Mac n cheese, broccoli rice and cheese casserole, sweet taters, deviled eggs and rolls.

Daughter in law made bacon wrapped jalapeños and of course, my smoked turkey and ham.

Haven't decided as of yet. But leaning towards fixing up some chicken and broccoli Alfredo or just throwing some boudin on the grill. Likely will be the latter.

A pot roast with onions, celery, carrots,and baby Dutch potatoes.

I baked corn bread with green chilies to have with the pot roast.

Just threw some pig feet and pork neck in the crockpot with jalapenos, garlic, parsley, onion powder, cumin, pink sea salt, pink peppercorns and doused with Texas Pete for moisture.

Neice just took snicker doodle cookies out the oven to replace the box of brownies I destroyed last night
