Why are most Christmas songs so depressing?

It reinforces the satanic brainwashing of the masses and encourages them to go spend spend spend when in reality it is a celebration of the birth of our King Jesus Christ

These popular songs are based on the culture and social expectations surrounding the holiday season. The hymns and carols of Christmas are decidedly full of joy, peace, and hope because they are based on the original story.

If you find songs about joy and love and faith depressing than l really feel sorry for you.

If your alone at christmas, christmas energy is supposed to make you feel lonely for connection with others.

Thats why christmas music is like that.

It plays on the emotions you will feel at christmas

I would say it's because you're not a Christian... Or you are in name only. So you see Christmas and the Caroles from the outside looking in.

I mean songs like "John Lennon - So this is Christmas/Happy Xmas", "Greg Lake - I believe in Father Christmas", "Wham! - Last Christmas", these are the ones off the top of my head.

On second thoughts, maybe it's mainly the British songs that are depressing.

Christmas music is the best thing about holiday season. There is a huge variety of great songs of all sorts.

Christmas is about hoping you don't get dragged off in chains and tossed in a sack.

We warned to not love the things of this world and then they invent santa to bring you 'the things of this world' - cane work out if santa being an anagram of satan is coincidence of course. The resurrection of the king jesus christ is replaced with a magical bunny who brings you eggs. All saints day is turned into halloween and worshipping demons. Theyve completely inverted it and in one sick move, if you believe in jesus that like believing in the magical easter bunny. It's an attack on the truth, an inversion.

How about "I'll Be Home For Christmas" or "Scarlet Ribbons" or "My Buddy"? Or even "I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas"?

Don't forget, many of these songs were written during Wartimes when so many husbands, fathers, fathers, and sons were suddenly gone and who knew if they were ever coming home again? Even a more cheerful song, like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" has the line "But then his number came up, and he was gone with the Draft".
