Then you have the moms with her proud brave son who is "having a hard time" which translates to a 31 year old who had a fucking drop ceiling piece (about 5lbs spread across 20 square feet) fall on him when a base building was shaken by a mortar. He got a purple heart and a medical discharge and has sat on his ass smoking weed for 6 years getting upwards of $1000 a month to exist.
Another mother I know has one who completely broke while being a fucking REMF, from easy military life not any combat, guy gets $600 every month JUST FOR FOOD. Thats 3x what I eat. Thats not getting into "disability" benefits, actual food stamps, on and on. This kid has 5 children, none of whom he raises or pays child support to, and spent the last 4 years on a nearly nonstop meth binge.

Last week I had a guy in his 40's stop by a house Im fixing up and living in to say he was babysat in it and it had demons or some nonsense the spiritually weak allow to manifest. I told him that anything that scared him would be "scared" away from me living there. For some reason he goes into a spiel about being a "combat vet" and how hes very brave and says hes a beautiful wife, home and family and doesnt have to work ever again because hes on welfare and he has everything right in life yet feels nothing and has no reason to wake up.

Half the reason I joined the army was because Id have ALL my shit paid for by them and have $35,000 in 2000's money as pure cash money, all the horseshit discounts and programs and ass kissing from flag wavers. Its an easy job as long as youre short on principles and self respect.
