TL;DR:

The Earth is at the center of our solar system and makes a small orbit around the center mass point of our system every 25,000 years. The Sun and Mars are locked in a binary orbit around us. The Sun's two moons are Mercury and Venus. Jupiter and the other planets orbit around the Sun-Mars binary.

It's downright terrifying to think you morons actually graduated grade school, much less college. And your generation is supposed to try and run this country some day.

I think it has to do with the process of trying to move people away from god
Science was easily manipulable towards that goal.
If people knew earth is actually the center of our solar system and maybe of the entire galaxy and universe, it would have been much harder to fool people away from God.
It s just much easier to convince them there's no God when you can make them believe we re just some random insignificant rock as all others...

I have recently been introduced to this new Tychos Model and read the entire book and play around with the 3d model a lot.

The book explains how it all works in accordance with the Tychos Model: North star, precession, orbits of all the planets, how Mars is the Sun's binary, how Venus and Mercury are really moons of the Sun (I know all the planets are considered moons of the Sun, but this model goes deeper on this), and even goes into how the Sirius system is turning out to be almost identical to our system.

It truly does have merit.

I remember hearing somewhere that the equation for the heliocentric model is identical to the equation for the geocentric model, only inverted or something like that. Dunno if it's true.

When you have little to no substance the deficit has to be made up with bullshit.
