Re: Believers. What has been your experience with Gods Grace. I will share my thoughts also.
When I was a kid I definitely believed in God. I prayed every night. For everyone I knew. I would list them all. When one of my israeli friends told me the difference between Israeli and Christian I just was like huh? To me it’s the same.

But when I started to get older I strayed from God. I wandered. Maybe not lost. But wandered. I was selfish. I knew he was still there. I just didn’t pray anymore. I didn’t talk to him. I had a bleak outlook on life.

And then I started to read the Bible again

And I was overwhelmed with Gods love

All i wanted to do was share Gods love with others

I wanted them to know that love

Because it’s an awesome amazing love

But I still didn’t have that strength of God. I didn’t have full confidence.

I didn’t have enough experience to fully trust God yet. Maybe I thought I trusted him. And maybe I thought fully I knew his love. But I had to experience life year after year walking in his love. Now I appreciate such love. It isn’t just saying Jesus loves me. It’s knowing it. And having comfort and peace from it. And knowing he has my back. (Which took a very long time.)

—————————————

We grow in Christ. Key word: Grow

It takes time to be confident in Gods protection.

How can we see his power if he doesn’t show us this power working through and around us everywhere. Each decision we make, God is there, directing, what he needs to happen, based on our decisions, to further his Kingdom and fulfill his plans and promises.

So we might know about Gods love. We might Experience Gods love. We might Embrace Gods love. We might Live Gods love. We might Share that love with others. And that is awesome!

But that doesn’t mean we have accepted and surrendered to his Amazing Grace. That we have full confidence God is not only protecting us, but he is in complete control. That he has angel armies all around us. That he won’t let the principalities in high places make a mockery of us.

————————————

Grace to me is something extremely supernatural.

God chooses to show us his Grace. Did we earn this? Some? Possibly. Maybe some souls encourage others. So maybe God is like I got you. But the Bible says you can’t earn salvation. It’s just a surrender to God and acceptance of Jesus. So we start learning about Grace by seeing we are helpless without God. And we learn about Grace by the blood of Jesus Christ. (his blood is over us. It is our strength and shield. It covers us completely.)

——————————————-

As I got older and older I started to really walk in Gods love again. I started praying again. I believed Gods love to be very real. I was so happy there exists such a love.

But I still didn’t fully grasp Gods grace yet.

I knew love. I knew Gods grace is amazing. I could give thanks to God for his Grace.

But I didn’t walk it yet.

It was only after I made silly mistakes

It was only after I fell into sin and screamed out for salvation

It was only after I was utterly defeated

That was when God showed up. He said son I got your back. Everyone makes mistakes. He said son every human sins. The fact you cry for salvation speaks volumes of your soul. He said son in your weakness I make you strong. He said son Temporary defeat leads to Eternal Victory. (Through Jesus)

I want to say,

before you think you need to do all these things to comprehend Gods grace. Just accept Jesus sacrifice and know he rose from the dead. Stay observant.

And.

Start by loving Jesus Christ!

Also I suggest going to confession even if your not Catholic. It’s humbling to share your sins with someone else.

———————————

What has your experience been with Gods Grace?

How has Gods grace worked in your life ?

I would love to read your testimonies

John:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

I've had a hard time with faith ever since they dated the ink and paper of the original bible. I think of Jesus more like a Budha character than a fraud who based his story on obvious plagiarism.

Re: Believers. What has been your experience with Gods Grace. I will share my thoughts also.
(Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)

They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. “Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded. “These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD’s people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

(Deuteronomy 20:10-14)

As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace. If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all the people inside will serve you in forced labor. But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town. When the LORD your God hands it over to you, kill every man in the town. But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder. You may enjoy the spoils of your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.

“Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, “Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple.” So they began by killing the seventy leaders. “Defile the Temple!” the LORD commanded. “Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!” So they went throughout the city and did as they were told.” (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

When the people heard the sound of the horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the city from every side and captured it. They completely destroyed everything in it – men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, donkeys – everything. (Joshua 6:20-21 NLT)

Guys:

Just don’t reply to heart sutra

They think their “superior knowledge” will save them

They just want to cause divide

You who know Jesus know he is God and is always Good

And his ways are higher than ours

God asks us:

Lean not on our own understanding. But in all things trust the Lord. Acknowledge him in all your ways and he will make your paths straight

Heart sutra can’t handle this. Lean not on your own understanding. Too much pride .

(Moses) stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, “All of you who are on the LORD’s side, come over here and join me.” And all the Levites came. He told them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Strap on your swords! Go back and forth from one end of the camp to the other, killing even your brothers, friends, and neighbors.” The Levites obeyed Moses, and about three thousand people died that day. Then Moses told the Levites, “Today you have been ordained for the service of the LORD, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Because of this, he will now give you a great blessing.” (Exodus 32:26-29 NLT)

Re: Believers. What has been your experience with Gods Grace. I will share my thoughts also.
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take the entire army and attack Ai, for I have given to you the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land. You will destroy them as you destroyed Jericho and its king. But this time you may keep the captured goods and the cattle for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the city.” So Joshua and the army of Israel set out to attack Ai. Joshua chose thirty thousand fighting men and sent them out at night with these orders: “Hide in ambush close behind the city and be ready for action. When our main army attacks, the men of Ai will come out to fight as they did before, and we will run away from them. We will let them chase us until they have all left the city. For they will say, ‘The Israelites are running away from us as they did before.’ Then you will jump up from your ambush and take possession of the city, for the LORD your God will give it to you. Set the city on fire, as the LORD has commanded. You have your orders.” So they left that night and lay in ambush between Bethel and the west side of Ai. But Joshua remained among the people in the camp that night.

Early the next morning Joshua roused his men and started toward Ai, accompanied by the leaders of Israel. They camped on the north side of Ai, with a valley between them and the city. That night Joshua sent five thousand men to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city. So they stationed the main army north of the city and the ambush west of the city. Joshua himself spent that night in the valley. When the king of Ai saw the Israelites across the valley, he and all his army hurriedly went out early the next morning and attacked the Israelites at a place overlooking the Jordan Valley. But he didn’t realize there was an ambush behind the city. Joshua and the Israelite army fled toward the wilderness as though they were badly beaten, and all the men in the city were called out to chase after them. In this way, they were lured away from the city. There was not a man left in Ai or Bethel who did not chase after the Israelites, and the city was left wide open.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Point your spear toward Ai, for I will give you the city.” Joshua did as he was commanded. As soon as Joshua gave the signal, the men in ambush jumped up and poured into the city. They quickly captured it and set it on fire. When the men of Ai looked behind them, smoke from the city was filling the sky, and they had nowhere to go. For the Israelites who had fled in the direction of the wilderness now turned on their pursuers. When Joshua and the other Israelites saw that the ambush had succeeded and that smoke was rising from the city, they turned and attacked the men of Ai. Then the Israelites who were inside the city came out and started killing the enemy from the rear. So the men of Ai were caught in a trap, and all of them died. Not a single person survived or escaped. Only the king of Ai was taken alive and brought to Joshua.

When the Israelite army finished killing all the men outside the city, they went back and finished off everyone inside. So the entire population of Ai was wiped out that day – twelve thousand in all. For Joshua kept holding out his spear until everyone who had lived in Ai was completely destroyed. Only the cattle and the treasures of the city were not destroyed, for the Israelites kept these for themselves, as the LORD had commanded Joshua. So Ai became a permanent mound of ruins, desolate to this very day. Joshua hung the king of Ai on a tree and left him there until evening. At sunset the Israelites took down the body and threw it in front of the city gate. They piled a great heap of stones over him that can still be seen today. (Joshua 8:1-29 NLT)

Re: Believers. What has been your experience with Gods Grace. I will share my thoughts also.
I have lost my way for sure

I remember the time when I was sure I felt Gods grace and love....it was the time of my life....then my wife decided to be an atheist/liberal/gay rights person and demanded I prove the existence of God and I could not do that....then she took the plan B morning after pill after I begged her not to.

Shortly there after she hemorrhaged internally from her uterus and I had to take her to the ER. Then they put that birth control thing in her arm and shortly after that she started acting like a teenager, had an affair(s), and divorced me.......

after all this happened I lost my way and became very bitter and stopped eating......trying to get better...it's been a long road with so many regrets.....

I'm so upset to think of how much I have disappointed my family by not being a better a person and having grand babies for them....it breaks my heart every day and I can't forgive myself....I'm trying so hard not to hate myself...it's so difficult

thanks for posting

Re: Believers. What has been your experience with Gods Grace. I will share my thoughts also.
since I was a little child (Mom, grandma, and great-grandma) all told me I believed in God that was strange for such a little child, maybe 3. By the time I was 6, I begged to be baptized and had to get special permission where the preached asked me questions to know if I truly knew what I was doing. By 13 I was filled with the HS.

Then my 20's came along and thought I still believed, I had strayed. By my mid 30's I was back and though there have been very hard times (some that are still ongoing horribly hard), I have managed to stay. 63 now and know that things are never going to be easy and my faith isn't always 100%, but most of the time I do try.
