That dude was seriously injured. Head, neck and back injuries. Probably broken ribs too and even lung punctures and internal ruptures.
It just didn't break his legs.

His bodies survival mechanisms took over till he was able to get to safety.

He didn't just walk away.

I grew up in Western Colorado, but we had family in Utah. Our only family vacations were coming to visit our Utah relatives every year. I absolutely loved how close the mountains were all along the Wasatch front. I knew Utah was where I wanted to live when I grew up.

I live at the foot of the mountains now, and wouldn't change it for the world. My wife and I have raised our family here and are soon to be empty nesters. We've been married for over 30-years. We love our neighbors, (Mormons and non-Mormons alike) and have been very happy here.

Silicon Slopes has definitely changed the real estate market, but things are stabilizing. Keep looking because it's likely to go up again with the new year.

I had the opportunity to move to Texas for work last year, but ultimately took a different job just so we could stay.

Some people talk about feeling like outsiders when they move to Utah because of the Mormon influence. There's a lot more 'live-and-let-live' than you might think.
