Re: Rapture^
The Day of the Lord

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

I am hoping it happens right now. I am not worthy though.
Thank you Jesus, for your mercy endures forever.
Thank you for shedding your blood to redeem a sinner like me.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84842262

None of us are worthy friend, no one is. But you right now, in your heart, can be born again and make the affirmation in your heart. You right now can repent in your heart and you’ll be taken. It’s all about your heart, your past doesn’t matter. Make the choice within and from that moment on, walk in light. You will be covered and you will be taken. Flee from sin like you never have before. Trust on him with every fiber you have in your body and soul.

Remember the thief on the cross? People truly, myself included, underestimate just how deep Jesus’ love is for us all and how much He just wants to save us.

It’s not that God needs any of us, it’s that God wants us.

Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Re: Rapture^
Something else to keep in mind is Simeon, the prophet from the gospel of Luke.

Simeon (Greek: Συμεών) at the Temple is the "just and devout" man of Jerusalem who, according to Luke 2:25–35, met Mary, Joseph, and Jesus as they entered the Temple to fulfill the requirements of the Law of Moses on the 40th day from Jesus' birth, i. e. the presentation of Jesus at the Temple.

[link to en.m.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Simeon was very old in age and was visited by the Holy Spirit and was told that He would not die until he met the “Christ”. He held him as an infant and said a prayer over Him and went away. It is said that this is symbolic of the last generation to witness Jesus.

A generation in scripture is said to be 70-80 years. Israel became a nation in 1948.

Today, December 3, 2022 is exactly 74 years, 7 months, and 0 days from the day Israel became a nation.

Just something to think about.

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

OP, applauds to you for having studied well the Bible. And the Bible has some wonderful teachings for our spiritual evolution to love and compassion.

One thing that is hard to reconcile though is that so many see God as merciful, forgiving, and loving, but yet that same God will not hesitate to torture us for eternity for disbelieving and disobeying.

Which is more preferable: God who is understanding and will patiently nurture all of us to become better humans. Or God who angers easily and will punish us in vengeance while only loving the "A" students.

The Bible conveys the great flood in Noah's time as a wrath of God to cleanse the Earth of human corruption. What if the great flood was a cyclic natutral event with a long interval of hundreds of thousands of years to cleanse not of evil humans but Earth.

Our common cold and fever are not illnesses, but rather are our smart body naturally adjusting for changes. So too this living smart Earth adjusts also. Daily weather changes are Earth's minor adjustments which we have been accustomed to and taken for granted. Then there are Earth's major adjustments with harsh impact that many will mistakenly believe are God's wrath on humanity for our poor choices.

As noted earlier the Bible teaches us how to grow up spiritually to love. Part of our learning is to experience all to know the contrasts and be able to make better choices. Hence we have been blessed with free will to freely choose to explore and experience all.

Those who are now strongly against killing and warring had killed in wars in this or past lifetimes.

Those who now despise scammers and deceivers had scammed and deceived in this or past lifetimes.

Those who strongly embraced God now had dismissed God in this or past lifetimes.

It is all part of growing up to greater wisdom and benevolent maturity.

And it bears repeating, those who are further ahead on the spiritual path to love will have deeper understanding and greater compassion for the people behind them, because they too were also once at that earlier point of less awareness and not knowing any better.

The caring and compassionate God will always lovingly nurture and patiently guide us all to become better humans, but in an unobtrusive manner to respect our free will.

Why unobtrusively? Because God wants us to willingly choose on our own to change for the better. When we change willingly, the change will be much more permanent and longer lasting, as opposed to being forced to change.

Free will makes growing up spiritually to love much more challenging.

And so the Word of God will always be caring, understanding, kind, uniting, uplifting, and empowering to inspire and encourage us to seek the love of God for comfort and guidance while we undergo the difficult journey of growing up to love.

Careful of any teachings claiming to be the Word of God that put fear in us, belittle us, divide us, confuse us, or place us in hierarchy. Those teachings are from humans still under the strong influence of their ego that knows not of love, compassion, gratitude, and equality.

A loving mother will always support and nurture her little children even when they made a mess, don't listen to her, or hate her.

What makes one believe God will not do the same with us when the immensity of God's love is thousand times or more greater.

As we move further along the spiritual path and with pure intent begin to fill our hearts with sincere love, we will never ever want or wish harm or suffering on anyone.

And we will also begin to see everything from a benevolent perspective. That means, what we earlier saw as our suffering and adversities will now be seen as blessed lesson opportunities to gain greater wisdom and benevolent maturity for more peace and calm in heart and mind. That makes filiing our hearts with sincere love a lot easier.

Love has always been the solution to all our problems.

Fear is the opposite of love. Fear divides us in anger, hatred, and superiority.

Why then would the caring and compassionate God of pure unconditional love would ever want to instill fear in us?

The Bible is a great book with wonderful spiritual teachings, but it too is not totally immune to manipulation and corruption by human greed and human biases.

All the best!

I commend your joyful outlook on God and humanity in general but it’s dangerous and I’ll tell you why. What you need to realize is God created this universe and is not limited by anything and that includes having a book penned by men moved by the Holy Spirit throughout centuries as instruction to guide his creation on how to reunite with Him and avoid hell for eternity. That’s not my design nor is it my rules but it’s God’s design. One can argue with it all they choose but it’s fact and truth.

One must also realize that what is prophesied must come to pass as His word will always remain. Only God tells the future, His word does not return void.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:35

With this knowledge, one must come to the realization that God does not mess around. He is perfectly Holy therefore in order to live with Him in His Kingdom, there has to be a sacrifice to cover one’s sin allowing them entrance into Heaven and eternity with Him.

God, the creator of the universe and all life loves us so much He sent His only son down to be tortured and crucified as a perfect sacrifice for us so that those who believe will receive the Holy Spirit and by God’s grace, will be transformed giving the individual a new mindset and perspective on sin and life in general. This is the definition of being born again.

God is love but God has also flooded this entire earth. God gave His son as a free ticket out of the literal hell that will be unleashed here and could begin as I’m typing this. One would be out of their mind to not realize the urgency and the finality of their decision to accept or not to accept Christ.

Your question below-

One thing that is hard to reconcile though is that so many see God as merciful, forgiving, and loving, but yet that same God will not hesitate to torture us for eternity for disbelieving and disobeying.

may be tough for you to reconcile with but guess what friend? It doesn’t matter if it’s hard to reconcile, it’s fact. There are 240 people that die every minute worldwide, how many are waking up and finding themselves in hell at this very moment with that place being their home for eternity?

Don’t wait another second, maybe when you get to Heaven you can ask Him why? I don’t have the answer for you, the only answer I have for you is how to escape. It’s up to you, no one can humble someone else and make that decision for another. The individual themselves must make the decision. God bless you friend.

"Now somebody says, “Does the sentence really fit the crime?” Well we’re thinking rationally for a minute. Well the lawgiver determines that, doesn’t he? The law giver determines that. the law that is written determines the extent of the crime and what is a fitting punishment for the crime and God has determined that the crime is heinous enough that it should be judged in this way. And that is always the hurdle that people have trouble getting over. How can a temporal sin or sins result in an eternal punishment? It seems excessive.

Let me help you with that. The amount of time that a sinner sins is irrelevant. If the sinner dies at fifteen-years-old; thirty-five or a hundred and ten; the amount of time a sinner sins is irrelevant. Crimes against the infinitely holy and exalted God are infinitely wicked and the punishment fits the crime. Infinite crimes against an infinite God deserve an infinite punishment. And here’s the key. Sinners who go to hell never repent. They never repent. They continue to rebel. Every description of hell indicates to us that it is…listen carefully…it is not a remedial experience. It is not remedial justice. It is retributive justice. They remain God-haters forever so that the punishment never catches up with the sin. Understand that? It’s really important.

In hell they continue to hate God. In hell they continue to curse God. In hell they continue to mock God and blaspheme God and hate Christ. So the punishment never catches up to the sin because the sinning never, ever, ever ceases. You understand that, that’s really important. People don’t go to hell and then never sin forever and just get punished forever. They go to hell and keep on sinning forever, so the punishment can never catch up with the wretchedness. That is why the Bible in Mark 3 describes this as eternal sin…as eternal sin.

Let me tell you something. I believe that sinners are more sinful in hell than they were on earth because their sin on earth is mitigated to some degree, necessarily mitigated. Everybody can’t be as wicked as he would choose to be here because there are consequences. There are restraints. There are expectations. But in hell, there are none. Everybody is as evil as he can be.

In Jude 7 it says that they undergo a punishment of eternal fire. And this judgment, according to verse 15, is on the ungodly for all their ungodly deeds which they’ve done in an ungodly way and all the harsh things the ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. The word ungodly is used repeatedly there and when they get to hell, they’re just as ungodly as they ever were, in fact more so in that environment without constraint and continue to be punished because they continue everlastingly their rebellion."

"Hell is not remedial. It has no remedial effect. They will remain forever rebellious, God-haters, lovers of sin, blasphemers of the Holy Spirit, and rejecters of the Lord Jesus Christ. If there is any satisfaction in hell, if there is any fulfillment of anything in hell, is that they can be as wicked as they want to be without restraint because no influence of God is there.

So the theological issue is an important one. Hell is for those who hate God. They act against His mercy. They act against His grace. They act against His holiness. They act against the sovereignty. They act against His glory. And they will continue to do so forever."

I’ve never really heard or considered that above as far as people continuing to sin in hell but that’s interesting and can’t say I disagree. For me to even ponder hell or write the word makes me shutter, I just don’t want anyone to go there nor does God. God’s love is immeasurable for each and every one of us and it doesn’t matter your past or what you’ve done, the solution isn’t hard and once you make the leap of faith and let Jesus catch you, and He will, you’ll never look back. You’ll realize that Jesus has been there with you your entire life since you were in your mother’s womb and God’s patience and mercy are really unfathomable.

But we’re at the point where I truly feel this generation will be the generation that’s going to see the Rapture and this world will never be the same. Get on the ark which is Jesus Christ and don’t look back. A flood is coming. God says it will be worse than the Flood with Noah. How? I don’t know but I know I don’t want to find out. Give thanks to Jesus as He will rescue you us. He’s waiting to rescue you if you’ll just let Him.

Re: Rapture^
I just want people to put themselves in this position for a moment and realize how bad it’s going to be when the Rapture occurs. No one in their right mind should even risk wanting to go through what the Bible states (God states) as the worst time ever in human history and the worst time in the future of humanity moving forward millennial reign). Giving your life to Christ is the very simple solution here to save you from unthinkable horrors.

Think about the unimaginable terrors that have occurred throughout history and they can’t blush at what the Tribulation has in store which could begin at any second, literally.

Please feel free to add to the list.

Just two weeks after the Rapture-

There are roughly 100,000 airline flights that occur daily not including private jets and various personal aircraft. Think about those believers piloting these aircraft when they disappear.

Roughly 115 million cars on the road everyday in the US alone, think about the car accidents when believers operating these vehicles disappear.

Think about the injuries, the fires in various parts of the US and all over the world for that matter?

Pure anarchy.

What about people in hospitals? Nurses, doctors, etc. that are no longer here.

Police and firefighter services in cities will be all but nonexistent.

Looting will be at an all-time high. Lawlessness will be at an all-time high. Rape, murder, the worst dregs of humanity will be roaming which will in turn bring out the worst of the people who are decent human beings left behind.

You’re talking individuals with zero hope and nothing to lose.

Think about trying to get a decent night’s sleep with having to look over your shoulder?

Communications, commerce via waterways, railway shipments affecting food shipments and water.

Sewage services. How about about hot water? A simple shower?

We’re talking just the first two weeks here of the Tribulation.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Re: Rapture^
thread for honest discussion on what I feel is right around the corner. I started a thread on this a while back and it was overrun by the same couple of people spamming who are completely unable to converse as adults on this site and simply insult.

We are told Biblically to Watch and encourage one another, not tear each other down with insults.

My biggest fear are for those that vehemently deny God’s promise to rescue His bride and in their obstinate denial, are left behind due to their open denial whether it be misunderstanding simple scripture and/or pride for whatever reason. What a tragedy. So please, have an open-mind and learn the truth.

With that said, the first bit of scripture below alone should go ahead and finish forever the debate of a Rapture and I’ll explain why-

But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
Matthew 24:37-41

The Rapture is argued by many as the Second Coming scripturally but the above verse(s) puts this question to rest by this very simple question. What will life be like per scripture during Christ’s Second Coming in judgment? It will not be people eating and drinking, having fun, marrying and giving in marriage. No, that’s how life is today, right now at this very moment.*** I would venture close to 98% or more of the 8 billion living on this earth presently aren’t expecting or anticipating a rapture (minus the so-called “elite” who knows it’s coming) nor were they expecting a flood back then hence Jesus’ comparison.

First off, Christ’s Second coming in judgment will be after the seals are opened, vials poured out and the worst wrath of God has already been laid upon mankind and this earth which at that time will be nearly inhabitable, whatever is left. That little bit of mankind left when Christ touches down on earth in judgment will nearly all have the mark of the beast and will all be under mind-control and enlisted as a part of Satan’s armies all across the world to war with Christ.

Secondly, why would Christ follow up the mentioning of how life on earth will be (during the Rapture) with exactly what will happen during the Rapture ie one man taken, the other left and one woman taken while the other is left? Because it’s the great Harpazo that Satan doesn’t want you to know is coming.

So that scripture alone above without any other scripture proves Christ is talking about the Rapture or the rescue of His bride which is said to be “encouraging” and not Christ’s Second Coming which is going to be horrifying for those on earth at that time (His bride will be gone).

thread for honest discussion on what I feel is right around the corner.

Again, it’s so sad to see and I don’t understand it, scripture is so clear on this. God's Wrath is referenced at Rev 6:17 and Rev 11:18. These events correspond with the same events in Matt 24:29 and Joel 2:31.

Before the earthquake and moon and sun are cast into darkness is the tribulation. After this event is the signal of God's Wrath.

I am open to refinement and correction. It is God's Wrath that I wish to avoid.

Splitting continents, turning waters to blood, the sun scorching people, scorpion-like creatures stinging people for 5 months while they wish for death and afflicting people with sores who bare the mark of the beast is wrath.

As I mentioned in this thread, when the bride is removed, people left behind just two weeks in will experience the worst horrors imaginable and only left behind will truly understand the volume of what they’re facing as far as trying to live day to day and the dread of juggling mentally their eternal salvation. Lack of mental peace alone can drive someone insane very quickly.

Christ is not returning in His second coming with people marrying and giving in marriage, happy and eating and drinking, it will be the polar opposite. This earth’s landscape when He returns will be unrecognizable and those left will be under mind-control with the Mark and will be in Satan’s ranks ready to war with Christ, there is no arguing this fact.

The Rapture is real, the Rapture is Biblical, the Rapture is so extremely close and Christ is coming for His bride. To deny this is to deny God’s word.

Jesus already told us when it would occur in Mat Ch 24.
Right after the Abomination of desocration occurs( mid trib)
check out verse 29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“ ‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
Which coincides with Rev Ch 6 verse 12 "When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale.
Now in Math Ch 24 verse 31 "And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other."
This is the Rapture!
Which coincides with the time line in Revelation. Starting in Ch 7
it is describing the multitude in Heaven(the raptured saints).
Since this occurs after the Sixth seal is opened, it is roughly a Mid Trib Rapture.

You need to study the Word of god more closely and realize the events are sequential. Whether we are discussing Mat 24 or Revelation, they occur in the order they are listed in.

The only difference here is the timing. You believe God's church will not experience any hardship before God brings his wrath and pre-
wrath people do believe there will be hardship.

The dispensationalist view says that the tribulation is only for the J ish and Israel. Did you know there are only 15 million people who identify as J ish as of 2020. The country of Israel proper only has 9.3 million.

On the other hand the bible says that so many people come out of the tribulation from all nations they cannot be counted by man. 15 million is not much but most likely the multitude is a billion people or more.

The left behind is a fallacy. The people that endure the tribulation affects a good portion of the people. John throws some big numbers around in Revelation including 400 million. How big is a number he cannot count?

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

As for the scorpions who did they leave alone? The answer is God's people.

Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Came out means they received salvation, they will physically die just as all of the 144,000 will die while preaching the gospel but they will receive salvation and is the major emphasis of the Tribulation itself, to gain back that J v’ish remnant of God’s people and so that they will realize that all along their Messiah had been Jesus Christ, the one they crucified.

After Chapter 3 of Revelation, those chronological chapters all the way up to Chapter 20 never mention Christ’s church because they aren’t on earth, they are in Heaven. The entire body of those chapters describe in detail the remnant of Israel going through the Tribulation.

The harpazo happens at the time of his second coming during the resurrection.

Listen friend, I’m not going to bury this thread going back and forth with you with basic scripture, it’s obvious you’re unwilling to learn and you did this in my last thread. We’re not doing this again, I’m not going to touch your other false misinterpretations below the above. I answer your questions and you just gloss over and continue in argument and we’re not doing it again. A post-tribulation rapture is impossible and I’ve already proven this several times in this thread alone.

Good luck to you.

Re: Rapture^
...

The Judgment Seat of Christ will take place right before Christ returns in His second coming. This is why the Tribulation Saints are told to wait a little longer before they receive their white robes. The multitudes beyond number to count are believers who’ve died in all of mankind’s history and those given the white robes are those Tribulation Saints. All are waiting for their heavenly rewards for what they’ve done in their lives which will be tried by fire.

That is not what it says. It says they came out of great tribulation.

Once again only 15 million j ish. Statistically not even a number in a world of billions unless you include the church and Israel as the same people as the Bible does. They are all grafted together. Adopted into the common wealth of Israel. Most in the tribulation will die. A multitude of people. The bible supports this including God's people who are alive. They are resurrected when Christ comes back in the clouds.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Well then I get some pre-trib something but I would have to ignore all the verses I posted that say otherwise. You say people ignore your preaching but where is the gospel? Dispensational doctrine is opinion. Where are the verses to back up claims like the Holy Spirit leaves during the tribulation or the multitude are only j ish people when they are so many they cannot be counted and come from all nations. Even Paul does not think he gets his crown of salvation until Christ returns.

2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
