What is the purpose of a pretribulation rapture?

We know the saints are resurrected and live with Christ forever more.

We know the 144K are pure yet still are resurrected and return with Christ.

So why this undocumented event?

By all accounts the dead in Christ which includes the saints and 144K go first. Then the living go.
