This was happening in the US a few times but all they did was talk about it, older people didn't have money for food, but the cat food was cheapest at the time. They don't care about families being homeless after taking their homes because they can't pay the taxes on their family fully paid for homes, you don't own your own home if it can be taken for illegal Taxation without representation!

I worked in a meat packing plant one college summer, live animals to packages in the end. One of my tasks was to fill the pet food 55 gallon drum. There was NO meat.

It was lungs, trachaeas, stomachs and some livers that had been damaged. The stomachs were bad enough, but the lungs, wow, imagine bad cow breath leaking out of them mixed with a bit of rotten fish as to how they smelled.

The final task in filling the drum was to dump some black 'food grade' ink on the top of the barrel of the 'meat', to make sure it did not get mixed up somehow with the people food.

Never, ever eat pet food, please believe me.

When I was a kid we'd eat some of the animal fodder -- it was much cheaper than superstore food and perfectly fine to eat. We'd also warm our house to about 10-15C, walk 3 miles to get to the weekend job and TV was limited to 30 minutes after school.

That was in Wales as well.

I did the opposite. I started making dog biscuits out of human food. Pet food is expensive.

America did not need to overthrow the elected government of Ukraine, nor did we need to pour money and weapons into Ukraine. This is all self inflicted. The US government is selling gas and oil to our European allies at four times the cost. I am thinking they may be re-evaluating their friends and enemies list.

They published this kind of crap in Australia too last recession, bottom line is it was still cheaper to buy some pasta & home brand large tuna cans in oil than the so called cat food they were buying qty wise.

You have to keep in mind that cat food isn't meant for human consumption so it is probably healthy.

I picked up 4 cod and a big bag of chips for £5 two days ago. That could last me 4 days if I wanted 1 cod a day

This is ridiculous, there are cultures who have been vegetarian for centuries. What kind of an idiot thinks that eating cat food it better than a much cheaper can of beans? You can make a giant spilt pea soup that will last a week for basically nothing. This is what happens when you don’t feed your children a variety of foods.
