The Parable of the Golden Meteor
One day a massive Meteor made of Gold fell to earth.
It landed smack dab on the fence line between the properties of two very different men

One man was a greedy, exploitative, and selfish narcissist.
The other was a kind, humble, and empathetic man who cared for and loved everyone.

Both men ran out to look at this wondrous object.
The Greedy man wanted it all to himself. The unselfish man almost let him have it, but then thought of all of the good he could do. In the end they agreed they would split it.

The unselfish man used his money to feed the poor in his town, to paint houses, to care for the elderly. After two years of his selfless giving, everyone was two years older, but life was pretty much the same in that little town.

The greedy man took his earnings and moved away to live in the poorest town he could find. There he built a mansion. He loved lording his wealth over the locals. He used the rest of the money to start a factory in his new town. While he was a cruel and horrible boss, the factory did well and he ended up employing nearly everyone who lived in the town. They all were thankful for the new jobs and the income they provided. The townsfolk u used their money to care for their elderly parents, and to fix up their houses. Some bought new cars, and others gave to charity. Still others saved their earnings and opened successful businesses of their own. Poorsville was growing and prospering. The Greedy man's factory elevated the town out of poverty and supported people for 40 years before shutting down when his children, spoiled and entitled brats, squandered the family fortunes. The town however, now had a life of its own, and didn't miss the factory's passing. In fact, after about a year, another person bought it and started the business back up.

Now I ask, which man, the unselfish one, or the greedy one, did more for his fellow man?

Re: The Parable of the Golden Meteor
Good story.

Only problem is that the greedy man will most likely exploit the poor villagers to the max with minuscule pay and poor working conditions or coerced them to work for almost free, all to increase profit.

Very few rich people will ever want their workers to be happy and with good pay. They don't get to be that rich by being kind and generous.

That said, this world is undergoing a huge transition from evil and greed prevalent to better times ahead in which honesty and integrity will be the norm.

That is, humanity is starting to shed the ego in favor of more caring, kindness, and respect for one another.

You can't coerce someone to "work for free" in a free nation.

Don't believe me. Try it
You take the wage or you don't.
You provide enough value to earn your way, or you don't.

Even in crap hole third world exploitative places, the multinational corporate jobs tend to pay more than anything else. That is why people in china agree to work for sh*t jobs like those at the Foxconn factory. No its not fair. When has life ever been?

The point is - make the most of what you have, even if what you have is provided by a greedy evil bastard.

Yeah, something like all of those evil rich folks bringing their wealth to Puerto Rico because they pay no income taxes there. Gee I wonder if you, as a local, could benefit form that somehow?

And that is why Jimmy Carter sucked at being a president and Bill Clinton did not.
We aren't cut out to be socialists. We are the people who couldn't be constrained by Europe. We are the malcontents, idealists, speculators, dreamers, inventors, debtors and criminals who would not be chained. We don't play well with others, we are brash, outlandish and cunning. let us do what we do best; let us be Americans.

Corporatism is a form of collectivism. Its actually what they called fascism before the term was used. Mussolini himself said nothing before the state - corporations were tools of the state.
Its Not capitalism or free trade. In my story no one is forced to do anything.

That is what captialism , as the term is normally defined, is.
Crony capitalism is something else entirely, and it need not be inevitable.

Still even it it was...

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. Their very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be ‘cured’ against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals."
—C. S. Lewis, God in the Dock

Capitalism is the worst system ever devised - you know, except for all of the other ones.

You simply feel you are owed a living because you exist.
A child to be taken care of forever?
If so then why aren't your parents providing for you?
Do they not love you?
You think you are spawning in a video game where the rules are designed to your liking?
