We have deer, fox, rabbits, cows, horses and a few domestic pigs regularly in our yard and coyotes howling in the distance, even saw a bobcat once. We moved to the edge of town to get away from people. I can't even imagine going back to town.

My neighbor took her dog to the river trail in our suburban neighborhood a few months back. Her dog noticed a coyote about 50 yards away acting playful. The dog was excited and wanted to play...so she tried to running towards the yote. My neighbor firmly grabbed her leash and stopped the dog in its tracks.

A short while later she walked towards the area where the coyote had been and saw a pack of 5 coyotes running out the other side of a culvert pipe. The one coyote was trying to bait her dog into a dinner invitation.

Maybe the coyote was trying to vax the kid!
