A few years back I watched it again and was in tears by the end. Definitely not a movie you can appreciate until you're an adult.

And when you realize Stewart had just gotten back from a brutal service in WW2 and was suffering from horrible PTSD you realize it wasnt just Harry Bailey finding value in life again. He literally lived the role.
