I've known a few librarians. Most are super liberal and the kind of person who was not invited to sit with the cool kids at lunch. Drag has been artificially elevated to cool status through manipulation of Zeitgeist, so those liberals are frothing at the mouth to be part of the lgbtq movement and finally get some "cool cred".

The problem is, real drag queens know that they are vaudevillian actors who lampoon women and sex. They accept this is not an environment for minors. They also try to speak up against it and often are silenced by the outrage spewn forth by the hard-core leftists who are the same said rejected high schoolers who want so badly to be relevant but don't understand people and lack common sense.

These folks should have experienced a little peer pressure. . . not a horrible amount, but bullying is an ancient tribal action to preserve the safety and continuity of a tribe. Acting ridiculous fragments a tribe, causes animosity, and nothing you can do will rid that little leftist of jealousy. So here we are with the issue that these people are pushing things that they think will get them attention. I mean, some of those librarian types I know write mpreg fan fiction, bullcrap forced lgbtq pairings in the form of shipping, and push abnormal artwork. Something is wrong with their minds people.

That said, most libraries get federal funding, and therefore cannot have someone reading religious work of any kind in the open. They can and should open a special reading room and invite different writers of different religions and viewpoints with a big dry erase board indicating the reading that will take place inside.

As for the false flags of people shooting into power stations trying to shut down the drag story hours and such, that's bullshit. I hope nobody buys that someone is doing that for that reason. They all know that this would only make things worse, so they would plan a much better attack. Is it possible they're not being shot at all but instead are being shut down due to an insecure grid and a bunch of 4chan hacker types with too much time on their hands? I mean, they used to do that to furry conventions all the time. It's not a shot in the dark (pardon the pun) that they may also be hitting substation terminals with errant code.

I watched that clip last night with my brother and we couldn't disagree with anything that Kirk said. He was spot on.

pretty much all the libraries in my city are fully staffed with LGBT employees, and they're very in your face about it. They all have at least 2 LGBT bookshelves in the library. One at the front entrance so everyone sees it coming and going, and one at the entrance to the children's section of the library so it's the first and last thing the children see when they enter and leave the children's section.

SOLID comments! But even without the separation of church/state, public libraries have always been a little timid when it comes to religion.

This is most obvious in the Dewey Decimal Classification [aka Dewey Decimal System] which refuses to place religious or any spiritual-based books on the fiction or non-fiction shelves. Instead, those volumes have their own classification -the 200's- and are sandwiched in between Philosophy and Social Sciences; and even then it waffles by placing Christianity ahead of Islam and other faiths... but based exactly upon what, one must ask.

Meanwhile, Homosexuality has had several different classifications ranging from the original 1932 -and very clinical- "Mental Derangements" shelf to the 1996 rainbow-tinged [and current] label "Sexual Relations."

Interestingly, the dude that created the entire 1876 system -Melvil Dewey- was pretty screwed up himself!

Turns out he was universally hated among his peers not only for the sexual assault charges he regularly faced, but also for his outspoken racist and anti-semitic views to the point of buying up acreage adjoining his own just to keep undesirables from moving in.
