Belief is an opinion, based on few, faulty or no facts. As with faith, a believer hopes or fears that something is or is not. Information and fact will be debunked if it contradicts the tenants of one's faith/belief. Debunkers are no different than any other religious or dogmatic fanatic: facts are denied or turned away from. Such folks are perceptually disabled or otherwise not equipped to objectively evaluate information that conflicts with a fond belief. I think this describes the OP. Perhaps categories, other than those who "believe" in chemtrails, will also be selected out of the gene pool.

Believing in something has nothing to do with genes. The parents may believe in chemtrails, but that belief most certainly will not travel to their kids with genes.

Anyone with even one eyeball can watch the contrails get laid, and observe what happens to a beautiful clear day. Aren't contrails suppose to dissipate? Or are they all suppose to merge together to make the sky a overcast hazy mess?

My question is this: Why didn't the skies used to be full of these things in the 60's, 70's and early 80's? I remember the first time we saw a passenger jet in the sky. My brother yelled, "Boeing 707!" and we all ran to say golly. There were lots of sonic booms in those days from military jets, but only contrails that disappeared behind the planes. Why would these trails now have tendrils that join and cover the entire sky?

If the temperature is below minus forty degrees and the humidity is at saturation, the contrails will persist (as long as there's no high winds to scatter them), and will often act as "seed" to form cirrus (ice) clouds, which is what contrails are.
