This is my own silly belief, but you may try it out.

I find the place on this earthly world, where the loved one that passed, exerted a lot of positive energy. Think about the place your friend was the most happy. I go to that place and absorb all that positive energy of your loved one. Meditate and feel their presence. The higher frequency energy is powerful.

It is hard to lose your best friend ... but be thankful that you had a best friend, many people don't.

A few years ago my best friend, a guy who got me into big water sailing, drowned while sailing. We had just shared a pizza and beer together the night before he left town to go to his boat and were scheduled to have dinner, the night after he drowned, near his marina. It was a total shock, I got the call and had to call his family.

Every time I transit that water near where he drowned, even if just by riding on one of the ferries that go through the area, I pour a bottle of beer into the water since I know he is thirsty for one, being on the other side.

Treasure your memories!! Be glad for the good times.

Friends are certainly tough ... sharp, powerful bouts of pain.
Not too long lasting, but strong.
I had to get outside for some air after his ceremony.
Felt like I was starved for oxygen. Fierce sorrow.

Wait till your mom passes ... it's a completely different deep type of wail/moan. A sorrow that pervades even the soul.
This kind of loss, I can tell, will never leave.
The only thing that helps is knowing she is in Christ .. I will see her again.

I also recently lost my boyhood neighbor and friend named Jimmy Goodfellow. He actually had a Philadelphia Eagles tattoo on his arm! He was a kickass rock n' roll drummer to boot. Brainclot stroke at 64 (his parents both lived to 92 yrs.!).

I'm still shook up a little as I'm the same age.

Unlike me, I believe he was 'fully vaxxed and boosted'.

My daughter dated a guy....same diagnosis. They went to high school together. Only 40 years old when he died in January, 2018.

He had a bright future. Was a lawyer, a politician, and a mortician (family owned two funeral homes.)

So sad.

The first time I met him, they were baking marijuana brownies in my kitchen. lol (in their 30's)

I truly feel for you.

I lost my best friend of over 30 years during COVID (suicide... he couldn't stand the depression that the isolation for months on end).

Two years later...the whole in my heart is just as big as the day he passed.

So many regrets, so much pain.
