Re: arthritis pain
If you are taking large amounts of Tylenol you have a problem. It is not meant to be taken ongoing, 10 days would be the maximum. With that level of pain you need to seek help.

Re: arthritis pain
My husband 70, with joint damage from rheumatoid arthritis, and I (have had arthritis for 35 years), are both pain free from taking turmeric, tart cherry pills or concentrate, and fish oil over the last 30 years. We rarely take any pain meds. Hubby has gout and takes no meds and has not altered his diet other than giving up beer. Beer seems to be a problem, If you drink it, would you be willing to give it up and see if feel any better?

Look up tart cherry. We get our from northern Michigan growers and are convinced it works wonders.

Collagen powder in smoothies or added to soup helps rebuild damage.

Re: arthritis pain
And this is why I have been visiting GLP for 24yrs. It never fails to synchronize with my thoughts. I have bad arthritis in my hips, particularly the back part of my right hip. And I no sooner opened up the front page and I saw this thread.

I just got Xrays last week after mentioning it to my pain Dr and will see next week what he suggests to do about it. But there are MANY excellent ideas mentioned here, I know it won't be long before I can be free from this gripping pain every time I reach for something or bend over. I just turned 51 on Sunday and am really feeling it!

;) Thanks OP! VERY apropos thread ;).

Re: arthritis pain
massage the area with caster oil, wrap with caster oil wool flannel (then plastic wrap to avoid messy oil smear) then apply heat (electric blanket)
leave the caster oil on as long as you can

also try cbd salve or homemade cbd oil, quite effective too.

Re: arthritis pain
LISTEN UP : Arthritis is an Autoimmune problem which probably means your GUT IS LEAKY.

I SUGGEST YOU TRY THE BLOOD TYPE DIET FOR STARTERS for a couple months and see if the symptoms resolve.

Do not believe the negative reviews coming from shills of big pharma and establishment doctors (quacks).

Do not eat Black Pepper as it tears up your intestinal lumina , yes it increases absorbtion of nutrients BUT thats because it breaks down the intestinal barrier.

Take a whole chicken and boil it for several hours.

Eat the stew and drink the broth. The collagen etc is released and you consume it.

Cut down on wheat or eliminate it.

Re: arthritis pain
I started to get pain in my right knee so I went on a regiment of:
6 mg Boron tablets, 2000mg of MSM, 1200 mg Chondroitin and 1400mg of Glucosamin and 1500mg Green Lipped mussel extract from New Zeeland.
I am now pain free but keep taking my tablets as they have a lot of other benefits.
Taking natural enzymes will help too to get the inflammation under control.
