Lows in the mid teens predicted here in mid Michigan. Absolutely normal.

Just got done chopping wood on a 45* sunny day...Typical for Winter here, but it usually rains a lot and had been for a couple days...That can all be snow if the cold really comes!

Fwiw, last night GFS has Chistmas Day snow for Houston & Galveston.

Saw an interesting statistic the other day. Since 1898 Dallas has only been below 43F on Christmas day 8 times just to highlight how rare this event will be.

Could this also be related to the shifting of the poles?
The pnw, or Yukon/BC/Alberta in canada, seem to be shifting "north" while we in southern Ontario and the east are shifting south, based on the weather.

Also we are supposed to be rising towards a solar maximum, not minimum. This cycle was supposed to have started in Dec 2019. So the peak would be around July 2025.

I think it arrived hear a little early.

Im in New Mexico at about 8000'. At about 6000' it will be 8 degrees tonight. At my place it will be 0 degrees tonight. And its isnt even Christmas yet?

Down here in the deep south tip of Texas it dropped about 30 degrees overnight and had rain during the night. Currently 44.

This isn't much excitement for you folks up north but it is shocking for down here where it is hot as hell most of the time.

I gotta go see if I can find a bale of straw today somewhere to make some bedding for the abandoned kitties that live here ....left by previous tenants.

coming Friday is going to be a real surprise with a high of only 45 and then down below 32 in the ranch lands.

Yes....there is no comparison between here and up north where you are except that we live in a/c, shorts and sandals 10 months out of the year...over 100 degrees is quite common....desert. People down here don't have clothes for the cold nor know how to live in it....(for the most part). There are thousands and thousand of human being and babies scattered all along the border lands waiting to come in with no clothing on except their light weight summer stuff. They have no idea what is about to engulf them.

Snow is expected into Mexico.

I dread and hold my breath that we don't lose power.

Praying for every one .....sincere and serious prayers that you keep power and/or have alternative heat sources.
