Unloading containers full of shoes was the worst. By the time we had one half unloaded we would be holding our breath as we went in to grab a box. The fumes in there were overwhelming. It smelled like nasty glues and chemicals. By the time it was almost empty we would be running in holding our breath. Easily the worst shipping containers to unload. |

But I worked at a shipping warehouse in the 90s. I unloaded shipping containers from China. We would unload them into the warehouse and pack up loads to be shipped out to stores. Yes, I and Jaso would have shoes custom made in Bangkok, So good and so cheap, but we would have to leave them for our next flight to pick them up because the glue smells would permeate your baggage clothes.
