I agree and I am a very conservative guy overall. I also know that calling the police is the LAST resort and only if lives are threatened or something major stolen. They will take charge of a situation whether that helps it or not. Many times it does not help at all. Like shooting the suicical man so he does not kill himself.

Whoever called the police here should be ostracized from society completely. I hope the judge chastizes the police over this raid.

I also know that there are some situations in life where, in showing mercy to someone, I will look the other way on some things. The first priority is to be merciful to someone suffering.

The cops have been replaced by goons in absolute service of the state. There WERE good cops but Covid purged them out

In my opinion, the war on drugs like marijuana is unjustifiable. An adult should be able to choose to smoke marijuana whether they are terminally ill or not.

I think the war on drugs in general was used to advance the agenda of globalist authoritarians. For example, the war on drugs was used as a reason to bring about the "no-knock raid", because, they argued, if police served the warrant at the door, then people who had drugs would have time to flush them down the toilet.

If you look at the bottom line, the drug war was used to usher in all kinds of tyrannical bullshit. It also diverts police away from work that is useful to society. Ex, every single police officer that is assigned to drug enforcement could have been assigned to combat the recent trend to brazenly and openly shoplift from stores instead.

They bust people here in Indiana for possession also. It is risky for those in my state to go across the line to Illinois to buy medical marijuana. I have a family member who has a multitude of health problems, and goes across the line to purchase it.

Drug consumption of all kinds should be completely decriminalized. It's government overreach. Manufacturing shit like fentanyl though should obviously be regulated.

The god damn nurses.

I had a major accident, someone lost control at 100 mph coming the other direction and t-boned me. My vehicle folded into my lap the exploded.

When I woke up like 16 hours later, I was in a hospital bed, they had already performed 1 surgery. I told the doctor I couldn’t stay in the hospital. He said I was going to be in there a while, I still had more surgeries I needed, He said I wouldn’t be out of there for at least a month or more. I told him I had a massive opiate addiction, I wouldn’t be able to stay another day. He told me “this is a hospital son, we have more opiates here than you’ve ever seen in your life”.

He told me the amount of “opiates” they were giving me as pain killers already. I told him that wasn’t nearly enough. I told him what my daily use was. He said he’d give me 5mg injection of Demerol every 4 hours. I told him that would probably be “close”, that I wouldn’t feel great but it might keep me at base line. He said they’d monitor my blood pressure and increase the dose every hour until my blood pressure settled.

He found that 7.5mg every 3 to 4 hours kept me stable. He put it in my chart, told me he’d make sure they kept me stable while I was in the hospital.

Everything was fine until his shift ended, and the nursing staff that was following his orders shift also ended. When the new staff came on they brought me one 5mg Norco pill. I told them they better follow my chart because if they let me get in full blown withdrawals they are going to need 3 times as much to get me back.

She said you’ll be fine, we have drugs that can help to take the edge off. I told her she had no fucking idea what she was doing, that she was the one that was going to have to deal with the shit show. “You’ll be fine” she said.

To make a long story short, she tried to give me 30mg of oxycodone, then when she figured out that didn’t help because my blood pressure was spiking up and down of the charts, she gave me Demerol but only 1.5 milligrams.

Anyway when the doctor that wrote up my chart finally came back on shift, I was in bad shape, blood pressure fucked, puking my guts out ever 5 minutes, and much much worse. He had to increase the Demerol dose to 12mg for a bit until they got me stable and could back it off to 7.5mg.

He was arguing with the nurse, she said she was calling the police. It was fucking ridiculous.

She wasn’t the only one either. About half the nursing “staff” we're the same way. The doctor getting pissed when he found out, telling them he needed to keep me stable, them threatening to call the police.

It was a shit show for 2 weeks until I had my last surgery and left against their wishes.

I finally got off all opiates and whatnot since then. But the point to this is it was the fucking hospital staff that called the police on the guy, I’d bet everything I had on it.

Perhaps, but the problems come from those adults that take everything you own to pay for it, or kill someone for the cash, don't say but if they legalize it that won't happen, cause then they just break in to steal your illegal weed or kill you and take it. People smoke it and drive, and YES Virginia they do have wrecks and kill people while doing it. Once they develop a reliable way to test for it as in be able to determine how many hours it's been since you smoked it, the problem will diminish some as SO many of you will be in jail, no more licenses, unable to get insurance without paying premium price, maybe they will wake after paying thousands in fines for driving thousands for lawyers to just be able to pay a fine only or in prison for 20 years when you kill someone while driving.
