I have been googling, and this story is posted everywhere on the internet. LOTS of sources. NY Post, Daily Mail, FOX, International Business Times, The Witchita Eagle, and lots of local sources around the country.

I read a short story recently about something like this. In the story, as the cops came in the room to arrest him, the dying man in pain blew two of them away with a 12 gauge shotgun with deer slugs. The government then sent two more pigs and he blew one of them away before getting taken out.

In the story, that was three greasy fucking pigs not available to do that to the poor guy in the next hospital room.

FYI,

In Texas, it is technically allowed, but only for a small subset of diseases and only low-THC (0.5%) is allowed even though often only higher THC works for the illness.

On the whole, I'd say TX does not allow medical MJ.

And that is how they get away with calling it an 'opioid epidemic' and can legitimately state "prescription drugs', as fentanyl is technically a legit, prescribed pharmacological drug. What they DON'T say is that nobody ODing on prescription drugs is doing so on their own prescription (or anyone else for that matter)- it's Chinese dope being distributed by the cartels (think the East India Trading Company, turn of the century- Google 'Boxer Rebellion')

I am of the conspiratorial opinion that a lot of this 'opioid epidemic' is a means to supplicate to the cartels after pissing them off big-time for legalizing cannabis all over. A few years back when legalizing it was on the fence in a bunch of states, the cartels were actually assassinating politicians and judges, trying to keep it illegal (think the mob and prohibition). And China is using it as a mechanism to play-out their own revenge-fueled ambitions...

In the years leading-up to what we got going on now (100 year old disabled veterans with legit war injuries cant get a freaking Vicodin) they were handing those things out like Chiclets- "Oh sprain your ankle? Here are 30 with 2 refills' which is ridiculous, but not as ridiculous as denying people with broken spines what they need to function (and not want to commit suicide- wanna know why the veteran suicide rate is still up?). They got everyone hooked, flooded the illegal market with dope and pulled all the scrips, knowing full-well like 1/2 would end-up on the streets fueling the illegal drug trade.

NJ here. We voted to make marijuana legal.
