So three old women are sitting in the kitchen playing cards and one decides to go upstairs to have a bath. She runs some water for the bath and puts one foot in the water. Then she asks herself, was I getting in the tub or was I getting out of the tub? Meanwhile one of the other girls starts to worry about her friend and says, I better go up and check on her, so about half way up the stairs she stops and says, hmm..was I going up the stairs or was I going down the stairs? The other old woman in the kitchen starts to wonder what happened to her friends as they've been gone for a while so she starts to worry. She says, if I knock on wood that will bring them good luck, so she knocks on the table 3 times, then she says, that sounds like someone's at the door.
