I think he'll stay with the public defender that was assigned to his case, there is no reason to request a for a change, the court recognizes her as competent, that's why she is the chief public defender. He doesn't need any high profile lawyer imo.

It is not very smart to give news interviews when you are wanted for skipping bond with cops and bounty hunters looking for you.
