Yesterday, I was at a friend's house.
I noticed a reliquary Garmin gps hand-held unit on her coffee table and asked about it, wondering where it came from and why she had it, as she has no interest in electronics, including smartphones and internet, etc.
She said she had it out because it as in a storage container she was going through and wondered whether I want it.
She didn't know, or claimed so, whee it came from, as age often buys boxes of random stuff at flea markets and yard sales, usually donating the bulk of her purchases to area goodwill stores.
Long story shorter, age has an estranged son, who is a meth addict and current guest of the county, incarcerated for burglary.
The thought occurred to me that the unit could in fact be stolen property. I have no way of knowing. And, as I wiped it down with a handkerchief, the thought occurred that three is no way I could ensure a shingle source of my DNA wouldnot remain on the object, and it could end up any place in the future.

What if the suspect in jail, was one of the people who showed up, (let's say around 9 a.m., Nov. 13), to help with the aftermath cleansing. Someone could have handed him a knife sheath. "We found this. You're in criminology. What do you think about it?"

Every person who entered that residence is a suspect.
