was BK an informant? why did he and his dad drive hours south to Salt Lake City then head east? Isn't the Salt Lake City FBI running the investigation?

Quickest way from Moscow to Pa is north then east via 90, like 5 hrs quicker than 80 via SLC I think it's even more than 5 hours longer the way they went. They had to have some reason to go that far out of their way? It was during the artic blast winter storm, they drove that way to avoid the bad weather. Go back and check the artic blast winter storm dates and when they drove that way.
