I have a parking lot full of those waiting for little things like transmissions... transfer cases... suspension parts due to the pretty, huge offset roller skate wheels (clown shoes) the "look at me" crowd puts on them.

I complain about what moran kids do to the trucks but I end up making a lot of money off them. scheming

Good for you OP!!!

It is so nice to see people enjoying what they like after working so hard!

2019 Chevy Silverado here. I mean an Okie should drive a truck, right? lmao

My first car was a factory ordered 1987 IROC-Z28 as a younger person - Got it up to 138 mph one time!

Hope you completely enjoy your toys and hope your shoulder is doing better!

Those are NOT fun to put wheel bearings in. I destroyed an $800 OTC Hub Tamer and had to break the whole front end down and jig it up in the press. Found out later they sell assembled knuckles that don't make you hate your life when the job is done.

Re: What's Everybody Driving These Days? Vehicles are so Overpriced it's Sickening!
a fucking $135k car lol, must be some rich people on this board

GLPers say the economy is shit but I'm just not seeing it with regards to cars (specifically)... seems like "everybody" is driving a $70k truck these days or at least a $40k SUV. even minimum wage workers seem to be seen in newer 2018+ vehicles

I know some of these people from my area personally and most of them make $15-$20/hour, they don't LOOK like they're making good money on the surface

so either GLPers are wrong and the economy is actually fine or the economy is shit but these people I see in day-to-day life driving around in financed $70k trucks are up to their eyeballs in debt or "barely" paying their bills - it can't be both

My dream car is a 1967 RS/SS in solid black. The light covers that flip make the front end look so awesome.

Needs a differential (cannot make a right turn in 4WD or it will snap - been there, done that, have the t-shirt), partial motor rebuild (I cannot drive up steep hills without overheating, cannot use AC without overheating engine), power steering pump (rebuilt twice already), headlights, windshield (old glass, hard to see at night), heat shield, mud guards on all four wheels, Magma shocks (presently driving on broken shocks because...), rear taillight cover, and speedometer cable. If I do all that, then it's time for paint and body work.

Labor is cheap, but parts are expensive and anything new (if it can be found) has 15% VAT added. Newer Hilux is in the $25K range, so rebuild is probably best.

2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG suv and a 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R. Traded a 2016 Range Rover Sport SC for the Benz which I kind of miss. And traded a 2008 BMW M3 sedan for the Shelby which in retrospect was a mistake. That M3 was the perfect car in my book.

Re: What's Everybody Driving These Days? Vehicles are so Overpriced it's Sickening!
I bought a 2012 BMW 535Xi (F10 Generation) It's the best car I've ever owned. It's power full & fast when you need it(300HP), all wheel drive, and extremely quiet inside even on noisy freeways.

In 2012 the sticker price was ridiculous, 65K - But now days that's not that much. I bought for 21K with 45K miles. I've got 115K miles on it now. This is the only work that's been done and all of it by me.

1. Electric water pump @74K (fails right on schedule)
2. Valve Cover & gasket @110K (gasket starting to leak and built in un-servicable PVC valve failed.(bastards!)
3. Spark Plugs @100K
4. Serpentine Belt @ 100K
5. 2 Sets of tires
6. Battery at around 90K

All the parts(minus tires) so far are less $800.

Pretty good in my book. Oil changes every 10K not in the figure above. Next thing I need to do is the lifetime spam fluid.
