when Amero arrives -price of silver/gold down?
I know everyone is saying the price of gold doesn't go up or down, just the value of dollar has gone down in relation to gold.

Gold would buy same amount of goods back in the 50's as it would now.

What happens when Amero arrives?

Will it be made of silver?

What will the price of silver/gold coins be for people who have them or are interested in getting some?

Just curious.
Thanks.

I don't see the actual coins being made of silver and gold. If they went that way they would confiscate all silver and gold. Put it in Fort Knox. Then say the coins are backed by Silver and gold.

All would be fine until the criminals figure we have forgot about the gold/silver and slowly take it out of Fort Knox and rob the people one more time. The scam would be good for about 50 years until it unraveled again like it is today.

If Amero isn't made of silver, and it isn't backed by gold/silver in "Fort Knox", then I'm not sure how American people or foreigners would be convinced this is any better than the dollar.

Thanks for your replies, I'll try and check back in the morning.

I think it would buy the same amount of goods, no reason it would fall in value. If 100 ameros was equal to 10,000 dollars, and gold was 10,000 dollars before the change, it should be 100 ameros....just a guess

Not due to the Amero but due to deflation.

Deflation alone will drive silver down but not necessarily Gold.

So the Amero is really a side issue. Follow the inflation/deflation cycles before you follow the Amero.

I hope the Amero will be introduced soon. Then the traitors in the US government will find out the hard way that the people still rule.

I think the idea of silver/gold being worth anything that you could barter for during an economic meltdown is ridicules. Example: If you needed some food or ammo why would anyone want a coin in exchange?...Metal will have no value....Think about trading not purchasing...

Re: when Amero arrives -price of silver/gold down?
I guess I still don't understand when the Amero arrives, why anyone would believe it was backed by anything. Why it would be better than the dollar.

I could understand people accepting it IF it was backed by gold/silver that is owned by Gov't.

Otherwise, if Amero isn't made of silver or gold itself, it would be just fiat money like the dollar.

This site shows the Amero will be made of silver. Kind of like the silver bullion people now collect.

This would make me believe in the Amero more than if it is made like our current quarters, out of nothing that people think is valuable.

Guess I'm ready for the Amero now if it will be made of silver.

Still want USA to have our own laws/constitution.

Not sure who would make the Amero if it would be used by Canada as well as Mexico.
