How long have you been coming to GLP?

I showed up shortly after 9/11. I wanted answers for what had happened. I remember the whistleblowers from DIA who talked about having the New Jersey terrorist cell under surveillance, but they could not get the information to the FBI because Clinton's Deputy Attorney General, Jamie Gorelick, had put up a "wall of separation" that kept intelligence agencies from sharing recon. And then Clinton's National Security Advisor Sandy Berger stole documents from the National Archives pertaining to terrorist activities and got off with a $10K fine and three year loss of his security clearance.

After seeing mainstream news just touch the surface of these scandals (at the same time seeing the federal government really crap on the U.S. Constitution with bills like the "Patriot Act"), I knew fuckery was afoot.

So I started looking for alternative news. And here I am, around 20 years later.

But it was immensely better with the previous owner. She understood and loved the 1st Amendment. The current owner, not so much.

I first came here as an anon coward in 2013 I believe. I was at another place but I found GLP was the place to come. Been here ever since. Was curious to what brought you here and how long have you been coming?
