Quoting: Swamprat They were warnings. Indeed they were. Huxley's brother was a member of the Fabian socialists who concocted this crazy ass plan over a 100 years ago. He wrote the book because the book was their plan. He glossed over the 21st century in the book - only remarking that WW3 was so terrible it gave rise to the totally controlled society he wrote about in the book. Later he had a student he took a liking too named Eric Blair and they discussed more what the 21st century part of the plan would look like. Blair took the pen name George Orwell and wrote 1984 explaining, essentially, the in between of how'd we'd get to Huxley's Brave New World. Together the two of the laid out the entire plan from start to finish. We see elements of all 3 books in today's society and yet none of us have a solution as to what we're suppose to do to stop it. The great irony of all is if these monsters win the humans of the future will have no idea any of these books/warnings ever even existed. |
