Black dude unloaded on me today about how horrible whites are "evil"

I'm white. I work in door to door sales. I had an appointment with a guy at his house, former army, who requested the in person consultation.

I got as far as taking payment when he said "oh, today is Jan. 6th" and began his tirade about the horrible Republicans. That leads to him ranting about COVID, then trump, and finally white people.


I played the smile and nod game as far as I could.

Finally, he makes the comment that he doesn't believe it's possible for blacks to be racist. Says it's not in their genes.

I finally did engage and say that when you start making comments about inherently this or inherently that, you're mimicking some of the deadliest rhetoric in history.

He said "but it's true. Whites are inherently evil. It's in your souls. You can't help it. You just are."

Told him to keep his money and left. He said "truth hurts" as I was walking to the car.

Being white, if I would have even alluded to half of the shit this jogger said, not only would I lose my job, but I'd never find another one.

Blacks are racist as fuck. Imagine the level of privilege you have to carry to feel ballsy enough to unload your hate on the subject of that hate who is standing right in front of you. That's real dude.
