If you can't read, you shouldn't post your dumbass opinion either. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80916233 You are a presumptuous cunt! I didn't "presume" that you were a passive aggressive idiot who doesn't bother reading. You ARE. If it doesn't interest you, move on instead posting irrelevant drivel. |

I'll wager the farm that Elon Musk once overheard the insignificant voice of a minor technician almost inaudibly mention Kessler syndrome while on his smokebreak with another minor technician as Musk briskly strode past on important business. |

Blew my mind the first time I saw that they literally just used JB weld to put it together. It was prototyped hardware for the shuttle program to start with, they wanted a new version with expanded capabilities for ISS with some additional hardware, so they essentially cut holes where they needed it and JB welded the additional hardware in place. |

Seems they are capable of taking out spacecraft and was the reason for this failure, but yet the cause itself was only mentioned once in the artcle. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34110068 What about it? MMOD impacts do happen to ISS, but it has to be at just the right spot to hit the line and cause the leak in the radiator. If you visit space shuttle Atlantis you can see little dents covered by circular patches up and down the radiators on the inside of the payload bay doors. They were fortunate in that none of the impacts hit the lines running under those panels. https://twitter.com/_/status/1605259539745480715 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70671055 Supposedly they have some armoring they provide in the high value areas like the occupied areas. But the giant solar arrays and thermal radiators are left to fend for themselves. Can't afford to armor everything. Justme |

I think they really need to have a back up for the back up with a back up. Also, I can't believe there isn't a rescue rocket ready to launch within minutes of an emergency. I'd love to go though. I hope Bezos gets his shit together for real space tourism. Your own small cabin, a space suit to go for walk. Hell maybe Lazer tag with another bunch of passengers on another space bus!
