Toyota definitely has the RIGHT idea.

A hybrid powered by a Hydrogen Fuel Cell, basically what they have been selling in limited quantities in both Japan and the LA area for several years now (for testing out the technology).

Hyundai is also producing and LEASING (I don't believe they will let you buy it yet) a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle for Korea and again for the LA market. Saw one in a parking lot in LA a couple of years ago and went over and talked to the person who had it and he LOVED IT!! Said he would definitely get another one once his current lease expired.
