I've been a Captain, Check Airman and Director of Operations for 35 years now. The pilots that are coming on line now are, as a generation, severely under trained. Especially in third-world countries.

In some parts of the world, aspiring pilots will PAY more experienced pilots to take their check rides and take their written tests to get licensed.

Expect to see more of this in the future, I'm afraid...

What do you make of the video? It is the first one I have ever seen as complete as this one.

From the outside video, it seemed like it took longer for the left hand dive where in the inside video it was just a couple of seconds if that between the people knowing and the crash.

Also, the crash lasted much longer than I would expect. The phone and transmission as well. The camera was stationary for certain segments in the fire too. Not at all what I expected.

Spot on. Did you also notice the rescue crew appeared to have pulled an unconscious girl out of the wreckage? She looked perfectly in tact. No burns, or injuries whatsoever. Also her clothes were immaculate with no burns, smoke stains or anything.

And, the plane appeared to have crashed literally yards from the house of the man filming. No loud explosion, no shockwave, no fire or debris

In general, most of the world will allow a newly trained First Officer (Copilot) to get behind the controls of a modern airliner filled with passengers with just about 250 hours total. This is INSANE as these kids are nothing but button pushers. They never go through the rigorous experience that historically was part of the development of good pilots. They do not understand the importance of speed control, and what happens to an airliner when you bank an aircraft when slow. The resulting stall is un-survivable when close to the ground.

This is obviously what happened here. We don't know if the Captain or F/O was at the controls, but BOTH pilots should have known this can happen. The pilots changed runways at the last minute and, I believe, the resultant maneuvering to the other runway, combined with bad airspeed control, is what led to this accident.

We shall see when the details come out...

Dying in a plane crash is my greatest fear (and my dad was a pilot too, go figure) so this has set me back like 20 years on my progress with flying. I can't get over how fast it happened, as they banked you could hear them react like whoa whoa and it was an inferno in like 3 seconds or so. One minute they are looking out the window on their approach then next they are dead.

You never f ing know what is going to happen. So live like this could happen to you at any minute....

That is very hard to comprehend, I'm not even a pilot, but I get that the most critical things when flying a plane are speed in relation to altitude and whether the plane is climbing or descending....that is scary to think these people don't realize that critical aspect of flying.

It's crazy because when you see stories of incidents like this so many times the pilots are NOT paying close enough attention to speed, altitude and whether the plane is climbing or descending.....

The stick shaker should have been going nuts but for pilots with little actual flying experience, their instinct is sometimes to pull up on stall warning thus sealing their fate.

If what the capt op said is accurate, they didn't know shit about flying if they are paying people to take their tests.

Even happens in the US too - the 2009 Buffalo crash. Similar plane too but icing conditions and bad training on stalls.
