Odds are that everyone had an ancestor who was a slave at some point in their genealogical line. Last Edited by Crypt Not It on 01/16/2023 10:08 PM |

I'm kind of curious if it will include the Irish who immigrated to the United States? My family got off the boat and were indentured to the US government for 30 years because they had no money to pay for the boat trip. They were horse breeders so they bred and trained horses for the US Army. Do we get reparations too? So it would be ok to pass, if you are exempt? Or it would be OK to pass if you qualify for reparations too? I didn't say that, sad pony. I was simply pointing out that slavery is not, nor has ever been, limited to one group of humans. It is a blemish that has affected every group of people on this planet. With this in mind, everyone would be paying everyone who is or will ever be born for the sins of people who lived long ago. It would never end. Reparations are impossible. Better to forgive and move on and not repeat the mistakes of the past. Eireann~ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77391584 United States 01/17/2023 12:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just took the time to actually read the bill Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79645172 H.R.61 - Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023 [link to www.congress.gov (secure)] What OP posted is fake news. There is absolutely nothing in there that states or even infers that this "criminalizes criticism of a 'non-White person' by a White" The title of the Bill is racist. What if we had the black supremacy act or the n word supremacy act. And then we said A person engages in a black supremacy inspired hate crime when black supremacy ideology has motivated the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of actions that constituted a crime or were undertaken in furtherance of activity that, if effectuated, would have constituted a crime. And why don't we have a bill like this? Or reparations to non black victims of black crime? |

Sounds like it does to me. |
