This is how they will employ greater censorship on the net including requiring a "Digital ID" to log into your ISP. People are addicted to the internet, addicted to Social Media and can't be without it. A bad, multi-phase cyber-attack including compromising millions of credit cards, debit cards and bank accounts as well as accounts in the Ecommerce space will get people (sheeple) to adopt the digital ID.

This cyber attack followed by Digital ID introduction is the gateway to CBDC and also things like a Vax passport after they launch the next pandemic. Social Media and Big Ecommerce sites will require Digital Authentication with Digital ID. Slowly but surely the mark of the Beast style financial system will be foisted on humanity. Those who resist will have to live cloistered lives away from the mainstream.
