My hypothetical US timeline for 2023 to 2030 - thoughts?
1) Debt Ceiling is hit: They shut down government services - even spending money to cut off the things like the Washington Mall - just like Obama did - to remind the people they deliberately made dependent upon them who butters their bread and then blame the party that is refusing to just let them have the higher limit to drive further division and keep people from uniting.. meanwhile play shell games with banks to launder money and spend it anyway - they do this all of the time with "black budget items" - such spending is speculated in some years to exceed official "on the books" spending. WEF uses this politcal divide as theater to distract and this allows them to continue pushing its real agenda via corporations and the deep state (censorship/propaganda) and they begin to limit food/fuel/fertilizer etc via mysterious "supply chain shortages" Attacks on production facilities continue and are not investigated or covered on the news.

2) They will not raise interest rates because that increases the rate on government debt as well, and while raising rates would be the intelligent and responsible thing to do - it would cause acute and immediate pain that would be blamed on t he current administration ( See Reagan) As a result inflation continues to heat up, more businesses fail

3) People are too damn stupid to panic. If this were not true runs on the banks would have occurred in 2008. The "plunge team" continues to print money and hands it out to any big bank who needs it to make them look solvent. They don't do this for small banks - driving them to fail, just as they drove small businesses to fail with pandemic restrictions . People just get more desperate and poor. Riots begin i major cities - Martial law declared.

4)The petro-dollar crumbles and something other than SWIFT starts to be used for international settlement - something like the system BRICS is putting together. About the same time the paper markets fails and only physical gold and silver are accepted in trades. (There was news yesterday the Saudi's would start delivering oil in other currencies, so this is alreadywell underway )

5) A "cyber attack" provides cover for a massive "bail-in" (The BOA missing money yesterday is probably a trial run to see how peolpe will respond to that.) Oh sorry, your money is gone. "Cyber criminals" took it . But don't worry we have a special UBI program to help you out - temporarily of course. Bankruptcy laws are rewritten such that if you accept UBI you can simply give up all of your property and be debt free. Once most people are dependent upon this program they introduce Central Bank Crypto and social credit score restrictions. Don't complain about the mandatory vaccines, the WEF dictating policy to your government as a defacto world government ( already in place) or you don't get your housing pod or plate of bugs.

6) THose who saw this coming, moved rural and became self-sufficient, resist the new systems and form parallel economies and black markets based on bitcoin, bullion and other barter. The government tries to put a stop to this with armed force, and this leads to many rural counties declaring themselves independent and 4th and 5th generation warfare starts with city infrastructure being targeted. This creates havoc in the cities where people were promised to be cared for if they just took the UBI and did as they were told. Enforcers and attentions are then places on the cities where riots and crime rage as fuel, water, sanitation, electric power are interfered with and cut off. Eventually cities collapse and refugees flood the rural areas where most will die of exposure or trying to loot by now well established communities. Eventually dust settles, and America is a collection of loosely united free states or the WEF wins and America looks like China.

7) With America (and Europe) in complete disarray , Russia and China move to secure Africa, Central and South America and the South Pacific either by trade treaty or outright conquest. while making some sort of treaty with India ( to be broken later) As America and Europe recover into whatever groups form, Russia and Chinese corporations make trade deals for resources to exploit the new 3rd world status of those areas ( or outright invade). Wars are costly and risky endeavors however , and since BRICS will have the new reserve currency ( in whatever form that takes) economic conquest will in most cases be easier and less costly

When does this hard swing occur and why?

Given that right-wing implies conservation of traditions, and in the US that means American enlightenment ideals - what does that look like when its fanatical?

Number 2...

They will raise interest rates a minimum of 25 basis points each time until a pause in the second half of the year...

Inflation is still high and need to raise the lending rate to at least 5% - 5.5%. This will bring down inflation further and throw us into a mild to moderate recession...

25 points isn't much of a raise. In the 80s much , much higher rates were needed to stem the bleeding. Small adjustments like this will have little effect, especially when congress then borrow another 800 Billion at an even higher rate to deal with the moderate recession it caused.

Yes. Very different. What you have envisioned is a marvelous fairy tail compared to what will happen.

It's already beginning to happen, especially a few months ago and seems to be coasting on fumes but will pick up steam again soon, like this year and will go into full-swing within 2 years and then go dark by 2030.

Expect a lot of witch hunting against radical liberals, gee-ewes, and overall a dailing back of progressive ideologies.

What happened a few months ago that you think demonstrates what this will look like? The Midterms? Those just proved that fraud was rampant and that elections aren't going to change leadership in any meaningful way. A fanatical love of liberty would mean what? No social security or safety nets? Mandatory church attendance?

Honestly I don't even remember what specifically happened but I remember thinking "Oh, there it is already :)" and was delighted. A couple more things here and there since.

Oh, I remember one politician made the news by switching to GOP, and this was kind of a first trumpet signal that more will follow.

Needs another trigger event though, since it seems to have stalled.
