That's an impressive accomplishment but perhaps not as impressive as it might seem to the average person.

The robot has the power to move, to walk, to see where it's going and avoid obstacles. As I said, yes that is impressive.

However, it does NOT have the ability to translate the words "Get me my tools" into a sequence where it determines HOW to get up the scaffold to deliver the tools. The improvisation using the board as a gang-plank to walk across had to be scripted in, as did using the box as a platform to jump down onto.

Maybe someday they will have that ability... in fact, it's likely that some day they will. But we are not there yet.

I'll take the dog ones, give them a mules head and put a harness on them and hitch to a nice new type buggy. All modern you know batteries for heating and cooling, and you can change those dogs into a team of mules. They can really do some real help for travel that people need more than other things. They don't have to be feed them, you can hook them to solar panels to charge them on sunny days.

They could just take their knowledge of the dog and create the mules to look like mules but make part of the skin solar panels protected solar panels so they last a longer time. Being more creative is a good thing.
