I'm not one for government overreach, but tglhose parents should be prevented from owning firearms. Permanently. Leaving a handgun (most likely loaded) where a SIX year old with VIOLENT tendencies and an "ACUTE" disability is beyond fcked.

Parents should be brought up on charges along with the school board and that child should face charges. Kid demonstrated intent and had a history of aggression.

We brought guns to school every week for trap/skeet shooting which we would do after school, we would keep our shotguns in our lockers, it was no big deal to walk down the hall with a gun over your shoulder, all white school, no one ever was shot, let alone even threatened

I started shooting when i was 5, by the age of 6 i had bought my first .22 caliber rifle, kept it in my room , only shot it with parent supervision until i was 7 or 8 , then roamed the woods on my own with my rifle with no issues

I hate to make this kind of statement but here it is. It is rare but there are people in this world that are just evil. It sounds like this is one. You can get into the argument of whether the person is born evil or is the product of an utterly fucked up home environment. It doesn’t matter because the end result is the same. This person is evil and is a threat to society. This kid needs to be institutionalized for the rest of his life or put down, one.

My boys are both on the high school trap team. We go up north to a really big meet where a million shells get fired by thousands of kids. (My boys shot a 94 and an 89, out of a hundred. Pretty good, eh?) Not one incident the whole weekend. No thefts either with hundreds of very pricey guns and all the associated stuff just racked and sitting there.
