Truly inspirational. He said he would never sing another song he didn’t want to sing. He sang it passionately and beautifully. It I believe was a tribute to Martin Luther King who had been recently assassinated? Yes, it was a tribute song but he sprung it on producers of the tv show and his manager at the last moment as they had already told him he should not sing it. People say he put so much passion into this performance (it was live) that he collapsed backstage after. Personally as I listen to the lyrics I think of it as being his prayer because at the end he talks about having a question and it becomes a plea, he's asking God for peace. The ones where they first discover what Elvis was all about are awesome. These kids actually get emotional. Fun stuff to watch. Have you heard In the Ghetto? That is another of his important songs during the racial battles of that time and is so incredibly powerful. Ask Alice when she's 10ft tall This is a battle for the future of civilization. So much soul and raw sensuality. His Christmas album is the best! It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. -Psalm 118:8 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper. -Isaiah 54:17 If I disappear from this forum, aliens didn't take me- Jesus did!
