I'm guessing it's not as simple as that. He we was well known to the police and had been down to the station many times. He was 50 year's old and maybe his family had been there for him many times before and were just tired of dealing with all the bs who knows? But the one time they weren't there probably because they had problems of they're own to deal with they didn't expect him to die due not having some basic needs met. It was 2021 not 1901, very sad story.
