Yes. The godawful ringing that makes you wanna blow your head off. Several days now.

Right now it's a little chill but I can hear it. But during daylight it's an insidious nightmare that can't listen to anything or anyone and I just want everything the fuk away from me.

I've been living with fairly significant tinnitus for 20 years.. Some days / weeks its worse than others. On the rare occasion it will almost disappear.

The past week and especially the past 72 hours has been notably intense. Its really bad, actually.

It's been pretty bad for about a week now. Unsure what's going on different frequencies too. Also might be related but when trying to sleep I'll occasionally hear a voice crying out my name which brings me to alert status and makes me look around. "They" might be trying to interfere with those communiques but who knows.

Thanks! I've played with that before.

I have multiple tones simultanously and constantly in both ears that range between 6,000 to about 12,000 Hz. I can identify 3 or 4, and they're there all the time. Only the volume seems to change.

I started out with a single tone many years ago, but more tones got added over time, and its become layered if that makes sense.

I don't know if that's how others experience it or not, but that's what its like for me.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72435416

Yep...it started out one constat high tone.

I still get high pitched one tone...
It dissipates then the layers are more noticeable.

Sometimes high pitch hurts.
Icepick pain.

The layers has been really loud.

It reminds me of Cicadas.
They all are making sounds
so I'm hearing multiple layered sounds.

I really got tired from it last week.
I took naps to avoid the sounds.

omg - I could cry, it's such a relief to see someone whose tinnitus sounds so similar to mine! Most of the accounts I've read online at tinnitus forums are single tones, not as high, and are of a different character. Haven't seen reports of multi-tonal tinnitus, at least couldn't find any last time I looked.

It IS like cicadas all the time, except more high pitched and harder to tune out. Despite having the continual tones bilaterally, I still occasionally get an additional single tone, very piercing high pitched, loud and painful, in one ear or the other on top of the other tones. Thankfully, that's not too often.

Sometimes when the single tone happens, the normal tones fade out for a bit and I only hear the single tone in one ear. Sometimes I get almost a reverse of that - where it's like someone is turning the volume of the combined tones off all of a sudden (in one ear usually) for 5-10 seconds.

I know there's not much that can be done medically. And besides, I'm not voluntarily going to a doctor in this post covid era unless I break a limb. So, there's nothing to be done but live with it.

Sure was nice to hear there's someone else with a similar experience. At the same time, I'm really sorry you suffer with this too. Sleep is sometimes the only way to cope for me as well.

Re: Tinnitus off the charts LOUD today. Anyone else?
I suspect many people get a form of "glue ear" as they progress into older age.

Inside the ear canal is supposed to be open of course equalizing pressure changes and staying well drained.

People with long term sinus issues and especially if they fly a lot, tend to get glue ear. You go up in a plane, the pressure comes out of your inner ear no problem, but it cannot repressurize when the plane comes back down.

If the vacuum is not relieved in the inner ear within several days, it forms the trapped fluid into a gel and then a glue, removable only by surgery.

This insult to the nerves in the area can manifest as perceived sound signal.

I have sinus allergies big time. Once on a business trip my inner ears were so itchy I was losing my mind because you can't scratch inside the ear drum. The shower had an adjustable water-pic shower head. I dialed it to a tight pulsation pattern and blasted that directly into my ear canal.

The relief was amazing! I figured the pulsations against the ear drum were working the inner ear structure like an old style oil can and functioned to pump out the fluid from the inner ear.

I have been doing this every time I have showered for the last 15 years. My hearing acuity has improved dramatically.

I hear stuff that people can't believe. Caterpillars chewing leaves, leaves skittering across a road sound like a full brass band playing. If I am inside the house, I hear the tire noise from passing vehicles. I hear the heater element on the coffee pot cycling from about 50 feet away 2 rooms away.

Everyone should learn the various techniques (Toynbee, Modified Toynbee and valsalva maneuvers), for equalizing inner ear pressure as well (mainly for the pressure changes in flying but also scuba diving or any time you simply feel an imbalance in ear pressure which can also happen from nasal congestion, blowing one's nose etc.

I used to have that phenomenal hearing you speak of but not any more.

Now, there is a whole orchestra playing all the time. I can't hear soft low notes on a hearing test but the dam tinnitus has some bass notes of its own that make me shutter.

I hate this dam curse called tinnitus.

It is one of the "banes" of my existence.

Re: Tinnitus off the charts LOUD today. Anyone else?
My tinnitus is crazy today - like someone cranked the knob to 10. I usually only notice it when its really quiet, but today its much louder than normal household noises.

Wouldn't have thought much of it, but I just talked to my mom, 1500 miles away, and she reported the same. We are both in the western US (I'm north, she's south).

Its not my blood pressure, btw. Mom doesn't have high blood pressure either.

Just curious if anyone else is noticing the same?

Check to insure you're not hearing ultrasound noise.

These Android phones have an ultrasound backdoor. Commands can be sent to them via ultrasound. This is how THEY can get into your phone even when you have it in airplane mode and you've even popped the SIM card out of it.

There are these spy towers everywhere now. These towers get into everyone's wifi connections. It's how THEY can easily get into your home networks without going through your ISP. They frequently do so and I've caught them spying on people through their security cameras, Alexa devices, even Roku remotes (there are mics in those things too). And there are these ultrasound emitters on these spy towers too.

They use these ultrasound emitters to broadcast commands to everyone's phone at the same time or individually. They can command them to download spying software, make massive configuration changes all the same time, and more.

These ultrasound commands can often be detected between 20 khz and 24 khz, or higher. There are Android apps which can monitor for ultrasound (i.e. UltraSound Detector). Download an app and check for ultrasound. You'll have to make a few changes in setup to make it work properly. These spy tower ultrasound emitters can be heard miles away.

Better yet, buy a real ultrasound detector. It's possible they can rig these apps to hide these broadcasts.

And yes, I've experienced what sounds like tinnitus. But I have sensitive hearing and can hear ultrasound just over 24 khz if it's loud enough. Younger children can often hear it too. My hearing has always been sensitive enough to hear flyback transforms in CRT screens/monitors. Most adults though can't hear ultrasound. Dogs and cats can.

Anyhow, thought I'd mention this because my experience with tinnitus wasn't tinnitus, but ultrasound instead. That's how I discovered these emitters on these fucking spy towers everywhere now.

Everything Ditto.

Today it's super high, refined blended wavey multiple layered sounds.

The Cicada sounds are not soft, but brash harsh very loud distinct multiple layers of sounds. Last week Cicada sounds showed up...

Today it's refined wavey multiple sounds make me dizzy if I focus on the sounds. Therefore I ignore and put to the background but pressure in front forehead is there, like someone is experimenting on me while I type this.

The soundwave has blended into a thick one tone with tones emitting from the single sound wave. The emitting soundwaves are multiple sounds at very very high tones.

Everything you guys said is what I too experience.

Rarely, do I speak aloud about it on purpose.

The various high pitched tones have always been with me.

I consider and contribute the tones to Earth and her pains.

If man made stuff is happening, Earth maybe will sound with harsh Earth pains.

If it's natural, perhaps something from the Sun, it's different Earth pain sounds.

We are experiencing it for a reason... perhaps to be reminded to PRAY For Father God's Wall Of Protection For Others, And AGAINST Natural Disasters And Harm.

Many evils walking Terra Firma which causes Earth pains and we feel Her pain.

There ARE times I think I am imagining the whole thing. But no way can a human invent such crazy loud distinct multiple layered sounds that don't exist. The inner ear icepick jabs or just below under my jaw...The constant multiple layered sounds then a super loud high high piercing tone overshadows the constant multiple tones...It happens at anytime, unexpected, so yeah... it's not imagination.

In Repentance, Dwell upon pure, lovely things in
Praise And Thanksgiving

Father God Creator YHVH hf
AND
Yeshua Messiah Christ Jesus hf
And let the chips fall where they may. Amen.

Back in October I had what i thought was tnnitus real bad, laid down and poof, no more high pitch whining sound, absolutely nothing, silence.

I became deaf, docs found a tumor at the vestibulocochlear nerve junction.

Life changed dramatically that night in many ways
