I read the police report. It's bad, but not as bad as the sensationalist headline and 2 of the guys are basically innocent.
They were all drinking at a bar called Reggie's in Baton Rouge.
The girl was 19, 4 guys, one 17, two 18 and one 27 year old, who was one of the guys' uncle.
The girl was very drunk and flirting/kissing with the 17 year old. They give her a ride home. On the way, the 17 year old and the girl end up having sex, they finish up. One of his friends, ever the opportunist, decides that he wants to have sex with her too and she's in no state to say no. So he starts up, but decides it feels wrong and stops. So, they continue to give her a ride home.
She's too drunk to tell them where she lives and they end up dropping her off in some neighborhood in the general vicinity of her place.
They split. She's wasted and standing in the middle of the street and gets hit by a car and dies.

Sad story.

Yeah, I used to go to Tigerland many years ago. I always have to give my ID to get a stamp or a wristband to show that I'm 21 to drink. Not sure what they do there these days. The bar is pretty screwed if they ignored their age but trust me, underage people will always find a way to purchase booze at the bars... That's what I did before... for 3 years before I finally turned 21. I got caught once because I did not have a stamp or wristband, whatever was used at that bar that night.
