Jealousy does not mean envy or covetousness.


That is part of the (modern) confusion.



He jealously guards WHAT IS HIS -- and he doesn't want us to stray from Him, like a wayward wife.


He is not envious or covetous of what He does not have -- since everything is His.


Jealousy may become a vice through our human insecurities. God doesn't suffer from them.
