Good on the citizens for helping out.
But officer #2, stating he did not have a TQ, calling for anyone to bring a TQ or belt...while his rifle sling was hanging right there in front of him...
Just saying.

Plus he was providing cover in a hot situation. Taking that sling off would have been difficult to say the least. Those cops have enough pockets now days with tactical cargo pants to carry a TQ. Should have had one. I thought I saw a QD clip on the front of the sling, but yes I understand the adrenaline and the situation. Ditto on carrying a TQ. I am not LE, but have one in every vehicle, a couple in the house and even one in the kit on the minibike I ride out to get the mail. All are paired with trauma shears to cut clothing.
