Besides, athletes comprise of very small percentage of population so their addiction problems and its consequences would not significantly contribute to the overall number. More realistic scenario is this: someone have a surgery, they are given opioids for pain, love it, then after the surgery and recovery continue taking opioids. |

A lot of it is illicit fentanyl analogues and also now nitazenes which can be 100x more potent than fentanyl itself. The precursors are from china and usually shipped to mexico for manufacturing/synthesis into finished product. Probably why the demoncrats like open borders because it keeps the dangerous dope flowing. In turn this helps fund/support them while at the same time helping along their depop efforts! |

(OP) User ID: 76388104 United States 01/25/2023 11:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My long time friend/weed dealer died of fent. Thought he found a plug on xanx. They weren't xanx. Bosses son also dead of fent. Thought he was shooting heroin. Quoting: BustedBulb Oh...that's awful! In 2001, I had to go on workerman's comp for a back injury. I was fine lying down, but severe pain while standing or walking. I'd be okay one day, then the next week, feeling awful pain. Our company doctor wanted to perform surgery and put a pin in my back....in Chicago! I live on the east coast. I refused surgery, so I consulted an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia). He recommended their pain clinic, not surgery. I had the usual back injections and physical therapy. When nothing worked, they gave me Hydrocodone. If I can remember, I was to take a tablet in the am and one in the pm. Because I'm so afraid of drugs, I would take 1/2 a tab a day. I felt like a zombie while taking that drug. It clouds the mind. I was nauseated. It was not good. When I had blood in my urine, a little known side effect of it, I stopped taking it after a visit to the ER. Last Edited by nutmeg on 01/25/2023 01:24 PM |

Is this a different kind of Fentanyl? **Had to edit because I could not spell Fentanyl correctly. Doh! Here’s a crazy little tidbit. As long as the brain (brian) knows it’s in severe pain, opiates won’t have the same affect. Worst pain of my life and I used an entire ER supply of fentanyl. Didn’t even make a dent after using 4 vials. Took all their morphine too. It was enough to at least get my on my feet to walk out. That’s all they could do until a surgeon opened my spinal canal and cleaned out damage. Q. So how come heroin users get away with taking heroin and fentanyl mixed together without physical pain? A. The brain doesn’t know the difference between physical and mental pain. There is no nobility in being superior to your fellow man. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self. ~ Ernest Hemingway |

[link to www.npr.org (secure)] Fentanyl is the number one killer of adults 18-45. 18 January 2023 The Mexican drug war, a US-led collaborative effort to dismantle cartels and end the trafficking of people and drugs, is one of the world's largest conflicts, ongoing since 2006 and responsible for 20,000 casualties last year alone. Customs and Border Patrol reported the highest ever annual number of migrants crossing the southern United States border in 2022 at 2.37 million. Mexican drug cartels have thrived, expanding their fentanyl production significantly in 2023. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk (secure)] So we must crack down on doctors prescribing it for pain management. We can't have people getting this shit from a pharmacy. Come on and take a free ride. |

(OP) User ID: 76388104 United States 01/25/2023 01:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everyone should read a prescription and know what the drug is and how much to take. When my child was about 12 years old, she injured her leg. A physician gave me a prescription for her for pain. I read the prescription, knew what the name of the drug was and the dosage prescribed before handing it to the pharmacist. Once filled, I walked out of the pharmacy and read the directions on the bottle. Instead of the prescribed once a day tablet as needed, the label on the prescription read to take a tablet four times a day. Of course, I returned to the pharmacy and told them of the mistake. I was very calm, but very upset inside. If it happened today, I would have called a lawyer. Last Edited by nutmeg on 01/25/2023 03:15 PM |
