So can you explain why so many socialist countries constantly rate much higher than the US in quality of life?

For starters, our government takes our money and gives it away to anyone who wants it. They wage wars forever, which again we pay for. They print money forever eroding our savings.

They pass laws that are unconstitutional.
They don't follow laws themselves.
They spy on us.
They poison our food supply with high fructose corn syrup and gmo shit.
They pump our media with hate on both sides and keep the country in a permanent election state.
They teach us to hate ourselves for being born white or to be a victim if we aren't.
Housing is unaffordable.
Food prices are skyrocketing.
Job pay is falling.

Our country sucks because of the cancer that is the u.s. government. They are parasites corrupt to the core who wish nothing but to suck the last drop of blood out of us.
