What is the oldest memory you have? . . .How far back can you remember?

Bout 7 or 8 I fell out of a 2 story apartment window and almost bit my tongue n half. Only injury

My Dad teaching me how to ride a bike when I was five.

Walking down the street in my diaper. I was potty trained by 2 so that tells you how old I had to be.

We lived on a cul-de-sac and my dad often walked down to the end of the street to hang out with a neighbor/friend. I was headed down to find him. Toddler on a mission.

Two to three years old.

somewhere between 2 and 3...closer to 3.

i was in our backyard that had a common fence with a pasture.

i saw a couple of the horses in the pasture running one morning.

i remember the feeling in my chest and shouting in excitement.


funny extra bit, maybe 25-26 years later, i was siting on a rocky outcrop above a beach near lahaina and saw my first full breach of a humpback whale.
i had the exact same feeling in my chest and i jumped up and shouted before i even knew i was doing it.
then i laughed.

Eating a gingerbread whoopie cookie. I was 4yrs old and I am over 50 now.

I was in a grade school play…hiding crouched down right behind some kids…my role was to jump out and scare them, I was some kind of monster or some shit…the one kid in front of me shit his entire ass! I’ll never forget that

Very far back, much farther than I should have. And there are actual records that confirm my memories, at least some of them

What did you just ask?

I was about 3-4 maybe... I am 46

3 yrs. old...bad memory. Strange it is like 15-20 still shots.

Then 4 and 5 years old with good memories.

4 or 5 it was literally black and white memory of waiting for doors to open at a rummage sale at a department store

47 years ago, it was a fall day. leaves changing, apple cider and a bit nippy …

I think we had enchiladas last night, but I'm not sure......

I described the house my parents owned when I was born to my dad, we moved when I was about 3, he was pretty shocked at how much I remembered.

I have many memories going back to my first few years but to be honest I can't say for sure they are accurate or have been built and validated by my consciousness over the years ... based on pictures and base me.orues that stuck ... hard to say !!

It's really hard to know how far back memories go because you have to judge them by other events to try and time them.

I remember flying on an airplane with my parents. My baby brother wasn't there and my mom wasn't obviously pregnant so I couldn't have been older than 3, but I could have been younger.

I have vivid memories from when I was 3.

One was while running by my Mother she had her hand outstretched with a cigarette in it and I came from behind here at the moment she put her arm down and I ran directly into the hot cherry on it and it went right in my eye. The pain, the screaming and the emergency room are all vivid to this day. Even them putting some drops in my eye. I'm 52 yrs old now btw.

Or…was it the time my mother was giving me a bath…I remember she left me alone for a few minutes and I decided to play with her leg razor…I just remember no pain because the blades were so sharp. I was covered in blood and she came in screaming like a banshee

4 being at church school. we had a little side building beside our church and during service the minister would do a kids sermon for 5 mins the. We were excused to go next door. a lovely old lady we called mama jo took care of us. We were going to the toy bin for toys 1970s/80s plastic airplane. I remember a friend crying for some stupid reason.

After that I remember puking on the floor of a hills department store told my mom I felt funny then projectile vomit. She had me in a buggy and was racing to get me to the bathrrom. I remember her apologizing to an old store clerk. He was nice about it and petted my head.

That’s around my earliest. Pre speech. Being rocked to sleep every night.

Not sure how old I was, but being rocked to sleep by my grandmother in our living room.
