Quoting: Music muse The Beatles, Elvis, and the young Frank Sinatra will still be in textbooks as social phenomenons that produced wild hysteria among fans in their public performances. Musically? They might have a better chance of being remembered by non-historians than Niccolo Paganini or Jenny Lind simply because we have recordings of their performances. But it depends on how, and to what extent, tastes in music change in years to come. |

Only a handful of people and I can't think of any with a more powerful voice right now than Taylor Swift. Quoting: Feathery Who would it take? How many? It's someone everyday, but who is the world enamored with enough to become enraged if they "died suddenly"? That might be the catalyst, she's a pop star. I'd like to say Garth Brooks up there having a "suddenly" moment would change things, but that would be a losing bet. I'd still like to see him up there... Embrace your creative side before you die. |

Name some early 19th century, 1800s, composers and their famous compositions off the top of your head. I'll give you credit. Well done. In all likelihood you're probably one of the very few people who could name those composers. Point being is that most individuals are generally forgotten about unless they made a profound resounding cultural impact that set the course of history. People like Elvis and Frank Sinatra, and even moreso all the Taylor Swifts of the world, will eventually be forgotten almost entirely. |
