I was exposed to the delta variant and didn’t get it, got omicron 8 months later and it was mild, and haven’t been sick at all since then. Quoting: Gargantuan Tarantula Yeah I don’t think you had to comment that. We all know your party lines 2 Timothy 3:7 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. |

Quoting: ElleMira I was talking to a friend last night - he said he did not regret taking the vaccines but regrets taking the boosters. He believes "the 2 shots helped create herd immunity" but the booster he took made him sick and he got covid twice after getting the booster. He used to be against Big Pharma - so I asked him how he can rationalize his years of distrust. He basically said he still doesn't trust Big Pharma but he believes their covid vaccine was helpful to society. He couldn't logically explain why he felt that way. Maybe because it gave people a false sense of security and helped open up the world again. And then people just accepted getting covid. Figuring well the shots must help some. Who knows what people received in those shots. Some people need a placebo to stop being scared. I hope some were placebos. |

Quoting: Gargantuan Tarantula Since no test exists to differentiate from any strain you did not get Covid of any kind. Your government has lied to you. Australia and New Zealand will soon be devoid of all humans. Please just answer the op’s question and keep your delusions to yourself Wouldn’t the delusion be thinking that these shots are helpful when people keep getting sick with covid? You don’t know what was in the shots you took. What isn’t delusional is that covid is not a killer. No shots were needed. Simple antihistamines work. Or just keeping hydrated. At least you didn’t take the boosters. |

So early they were not even saying it was in the USA yet. Quoting: JustmeTX After I recovered I would try to go to the gym or the grocery store with no mask on. I would explain that I was immune because I had the illness and recovered. The best damned immunity you can get! Nope, they insisted I wear a mask. So I quit the gym. And did curbside pickup. When everyone decided to ignore the laws of biological natural immunity, I decided that A), there were larger issues going on, and B), people are complete idiots, sellouts or both. Yep. That was an early sign to me that society had largely been fooled into believing pseudoscience. |

Culturally outdated by choice User ID: 78566348 United States 02/02/2023 12:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Poll was closed before I got here, but no vax and no regrets. The only vax I've had in the last 20 or so years was a 2-part pneumonia vax several years ago. I'm in my 70s and pneumonia has a FAR better chance of killing me than whatever the "pandemic" was. AND pneumonia is bacterial, which makes a difference. Almost no one dies OF influenza. They die WITH influenza because they were weakened and got pneumonia. I did have something that tripped the Covid meter in January last year, but it was mild and it walked right in my front door in the form of my idiot BIL who felt sick, so he came visiting. I only tested because my husband's boss was terminally ill and was justifiably paranoid about exposure to anything. The only vax I would consider at this point is rabies if I get bitten by a proven rabid animal or possibly tetanus with the appropriate wound. More deplorable all the time. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 85187463 United States 02/02/2023 12:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'd like to know too. The only conclusion I can think of is maybe the person went through covid and it caused permanent health issues? Maybe he/she believes if they got the jabs, they wouldn't have a health issue. If anyone has any regrets for not getting it, they can get the shots whenever they want. True. But they can look at the jabbed and see that they still got sick and many have died from it or have heart conditions. Better to just go through covid and work on your immune system and use natural remedies. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 85187463 United States 02/02/2023 12:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you had a covid vaccine, do you regret your decision? Quoting: ElleMira If you had no covid vaccine, do you regret your decision? Let me preface this by saying that I am stridently anti-vaccine. I have been from the start. I will be until the end. I was in a situation where my wife's family began to pressure us heavily to get vaccinated. So, my wife finally caved and let me know that she had decided to go ahead and get vaccinated to prevent a complete family war. Rather than leave her to do this by herself, I went ahead and got vaccinated with her (original series, Pfizer). This was July 2021. Literally the night I got my second shot, I had something very strange happen. I had a cyst on my back that I had had for years suddenly turn red and swell up to the point that 2 days later I was at urgent care having it drained. They told me at the time that if it gave me further issues to see a dermatologist. Fast forward to January 2022, my wife suddenly has a bout of symptomatic tachycardia (rapid heart rate). She ended up in the emergency room and ultimately got diagnosed with hyperthryoidism and some other autoimmune/endocrinological issues, completely out of left field. Right around Christmas, the cyst on my back started acting up again so I made a dermatologist appointment. I saw her recently and had her do a general skin check as well as looking at the cyst. The skin check, thankfully, was clear. She looked at the cyst and said that it could possibly be a basal cell carcinoma. She biopsied it and I should know something pretty much any day now. The good thing is, if it IS cancer, basal cell carcinoma typically has a very good prognosis and should not be much more than an inconvenience. Thankfully, my wife and I have not gotten boosters...nor will we be. I don't KNOW that any of the issues we have had since getting the vaccine have anything to do with the vaccine, but I highly suspect that to be the case. If I do end up with cancer it is going to be very hard for me not to harbor major resentment against her family. Now, they have all been vaxxed and boosted to the max and her sister has had to have a hysterectomy due to uterine cancer since getting it and her dad has had a minor heart attack since then. So, word of advice here is to stand strong if you are getting pressured to get the shot. It is not worth it. We both hugely regret caving in to family pressure. Sorry about that. Maybe just say you got the shots and of course didn’t. Were they asking for your vax card? And does your family think the shots are a problem? Maybe if they are still insisting on fully jabbed either just stay away from them or tell them y’all got the boosters. They don’t need to know the truth. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80700725 United States 02/02/2023 12:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ElleMira, thank you for your well thought out, researched (?) explanation. How I envy people with a good memory, such as that post exhibits. I sometimes wonder if this event was an individually determined occurrence depending on life circumstances. The Sars era gave me the opportunity to think outside the box because of GLP. I remember shaking my head no to the pharmacist, whom I respected and trusted, when he asked me if I wanted a vax. He threw his hands up in the air with a look of "I tried". That whole period of reading, here, protected me. It also gave me a "heads up" when this COV period started. I was hungry for information, and knew I could find it here. I'm not always patient, but knew I had nothing to lose if I WAITED to see how it all played out. So much is now known that wasn't in the beginning. Again, thank you GLP! |
