50% of what was Ukraine goes to Russia. 20% goes to Poland. 10% goes to Romania and the final 20% and Kiev goes to Belarus.

F off Ukraine never to terrorize the world again.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84882859

Yes, I think ultimately they will do something like that.

Putin will be happy to keep the peace with his neighbors by giving them some portions, while still getting NATO off his front lawn. And of course, Belarus is a strong ally of Russia and Putin should actually be happy to give them part of the territory.

It would appear that Bakhmut may now be full encircled, meaning their last big stronghold is about to fall to Russia.

Not calling the timing on it, because it just gives the trolls more to troll with, but there is chatter that Bakhmut is fully encircled now with Russia owning all the roads in and out. Maybe they can crawl through some forested bit to escape.
 Quoting: JustmeTX

Do you have a conscience? )))))
Or maybe people will decide for themselves where they want to go.
I've told you a hundred times already: Crimea, Donbass are not land for Russia, they are PEOPLE. And they almost unanimously decided to go back to Russia, it's safer and more nourishing there, they belong there.
It would be fair if the people of the remaining Ukraine decided for themselves where to go. Putin would not mind.
But if I were Putin I would of course take all of Ukraine as in the USSR. Why should Poland and even more so Romania get new lands as a result of Russophobia, so that it would motivate them to new feats? It would be a big mistake to give Poland and romania anything, on the contrary we should punish them harshly. i haven't figured out how yet. lol
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69513425

If Russia takes all of Ukraine, they might find the same problem with Western Ukraine that Ukraine had managing the people to the East.

Western Ukraine will be a disfunctional mess once this is over, and if they identify more closely with the Polish people then why not let Poland have that part? They cannot be on their own certainly as they will not be economically self supporting. Russia will have enough to do in rebuilding the war ravaged areas that have been hotly contested.

Makes no difference to me what they do. PUtin wants them de-NAZIfied and De-Fanged. Beyond that, I don't think he cares what becomes of Western Ukraine so long as they are not threatening Russia. If it helps the peace process, maybe Putin would consider it? I don't know. If he has lost all trust in other countries, then maybe he has to take it all.

I just express my opinions and observations. They are free. :) Discard them if you like.
 Quoting: JustmeTX

and I'm just expressing my opinion. I would take it all.
Putin will do as the local population decides. referendum. that's his style.
There is a probability that by the end of the special operation in western Ukraine only the population loyal to Russia will remain. all the haters have either already left for Europe, or will leave at the first danger. the rest will vote to return to Russia.

A soldier of the "Wagner" PMC informed about heavy urban fighting for the southern quarters of Artemivsk

According to a soldier of the Wagner PMC, there are fierce battles now for the southern quarters of Artemivsk. The AFU command constantly throws new reserves into this area, mostly from mobilized forces. As for foreign mercenaries, there are not so many so far. For the most part, Russian forces are facing regular units of the AFU.

"At the beginning of January we last saw mercenaries. Now we have already been confronted concretely. At two points - there are high-rise buildings, long corridors, fortified basements. We know the enemy's firing points. Tonight we did a good job - we've taken a position, the guys have advanced,
RIA Novosti quoted the fighter as saying.
According to him, Ukrainian soldiers surrender when they run out of ammunition or are wounded. That's why there are always fights. He also said that the artillery of the AFU is working intensively, but not as it was in December. The Russian fighter believes that the enemy is gradually running out of ammunition.

running out? soon the west will announce a new aid package for Ukraine.

Russian propaganda:

Russian TV host and member of the Presidium of the Central Council of the party "Just Russia - Patriots - For Truth" Marina Kim published a video of Rosgvardia head Viktor Zolotov's visit to the front lines in the special operation zone. "MK" previously reported that Army General Viktor Zolotov visited the units of the Rosgvardia in Crimea and in the Kherson region.

"Kherson region. Personally checked the positions of one of the units. Concrete reinforcements, heating systems, a bathhouse, a training room, a medical station and a menu in the canteen," Marina Kim told her Tlgrm Channel.

She also noted that Viktor Zolotov personally presented awards to the heroes of Rosgvardia - the Orders of Courage, Bravery and Suvorov. According to the TV anchorwoman, sappers and scouts of the Rosgvardia were awarded for the operation to evacuate civilians from the right bank of the Dnieper.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said global powers "from Europe to America" are seeking to influence the country's upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

"Global powers, from Europe to America, are making active efforts to influence the May 14 elections. Despicable campaigns against me are being conducted for this purpose," Erdoğan said during a speech to young people in the city of Aydın.

Erdogan is running for his third presidential term. He will be the candidate of the Union of the Republic party. The coalition of opposition parties has not yet named its candidate. [link to www.mk.ru (secure)]

I wonder if Russia's major push will start around the 14th as the moon is almost gone then.

Apparently, major military operations are usually conducted when there is no moon. So from around the 14th till 25th. Might start before that but that time frame will be important.

Even with night googles and thermal, the moon phase still matters apparently.

Re: Feb 2023 Ukraine updates
Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group have suffered heavy casualties in a new flurry of fighting between government forces and rebels for control of lucrative gold mines in the Central African Republic (CAR).

The clashes come amid growing instability in the anarchic, resource-rich country, which in recent years has become one of Russia's main centers of influence in sub-Saharan Africa.

The government offensive is led by some of the roughly 1 Wagner fighters stationed in CAR since '000.

"Wagner was founded by Evgeny Prigozhin, a businessman with close ties to the Kremlin, and has been deployed to about a dozen African countries as part of a Russian effort to project power on the continent and extract valuable resources. Last month, the U.S. declared Wagner a "significant transnational criminal organization," in part because of its growing role in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In CAR, Wagner fighters have defended the Fosten-Arkange Touadera regime against successive rebel attacks on the capital Bangui and have been accused of human rights abuses.

Clashes began two weeks ago in the city near the border with Cameroon and Chad, pitting rebels against Russians and government troops. Violence erupted again near the Sudanese border last weekend. Between seven and 17 Wagner fighters were among the dozens of casualties, rebel sources said.

"We lost two [killed] and many wounded, but we defeated them and confiscated many military trucks ... We ambushed them and they were trapped," Ahmadu Ali, a senior leader of the rebel Coalition of Patriots for Change, said in a telephone interview.

Experts say reliable numbers are hard to ascertain, but it is clear that Wagner suffered relatively heavy losses.

A source close to the national military in CAR said seven Russians were killed in the ambush, one of Wagner's heaviest losses in Africa since fighting against Islamist rebels in Mozambique in 2019.

Ali said CAR forces did not join the fighting. "It was a battle between us and the Russians. They only used government troops to legitimize things. The Russians have taken over the whole country. They are everywhere: they guard the borders, and you see them wherever there are [valuable] resources. They have stolen all our resources," he said.

While Touadera's power remains strong, the new violence suggests more instability in the CAR than in recent years, analysts say. The country, one of the poorest in the world, faces economic collapse. A series of shifts in the balance of regional powers in recent months has also heightened tensions.

"The government in Bangui is completely running out of money," said Enrica Picco, director for Central Africa of the international crisis group. "Wagner does not fully control all the extraction sites, and there is still fighting in several of them. Moving the group [to the border zones] has changed the dynamics of the conflict because the rebel groups there have united in the face of a common enemy to protect their mining revenues."

Marie-Raine Hassen, a former diplomat and opposition politician, said the president should relinquish power. "He's losing it, and nobody wants him, I know he won't do it, but the country is a mess. People are starving to death, there's no clean water or electricity," she said.

Last year there was another round of clashes after Wagner's fighters attacked artisanal gold mines along the CAR border with Sudan. Dozens of miners were killed in at least three attacks, and witnesses interviewed by the Guardian described "massacres" by fighters they identified as from Wagner that swept through camps full of migrant miners and mine workers over a six-week period.

Since arriving in CAR, Wagner has sought to control the flow of gold and diamonds as part of a broader drive to secure resources. Analysts believe that the group was initially promised gold and other mining concessions for its services instead of cash payments.

Such concessions have become increasingly important as the Russian ruble has come under pressure following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Precious metals, especially gold, can help Vladimir Putin's regime survive the economic consequences of sanctions.

The new clashes are another example of how Wagner interventions are often linked to increased civilian deaths, despite the group boasting that they fight insurgents more effectively than UN peacekeepers or conventional forces deployed by former colonial powers such as France.

A study by the nongovernmental Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project found that civilians targeted more than half of the political violence involving Wagner in CAR and 71 percent in Mali, where Russian mercenaries were deployed in late 2021 to bolster the military regime after the French withdrawal.

"In both cases, this exceeds the level of civilian attacks carried out by allied state forces as well as major rebel groups operating in each context," the NGO said.

Human Rights Watch said in a report in May that forces in CAR, witnesses identified as Russians, had apparently beaten, tortured and killed civilians there since 2019. It said the Russian-affiliated forces in the CAR wear no designated uniforms and have no official insignia or other distinguishing features.

I can verify this is true in the U.S. Americans are being terrorized in all of those spheres, and in others that are more difficult to describe, quantify or prove. Some of us are having 5G/microwave frequency weapons directed at us with varying agendas -- to cause injury, to harass, torture, attempt to mind-control -- and worse, depending on I guess what they feel the person deserves.

Our Country is overrun with Nazis, but they are harder to spot than the Azov since most don't have tattoos or wear Nazi pins or patches; they wear nice suits, pretend to be American, and many are under mind control themselves. Disturbing 1 minute video showing about 10 Ukraine and possibly US mercenaries all dead in their rather well armed location near Bakhmut. 50 cal machine gun is set up with many cases of ammo, Several extra rifles. He keeps moving the camera, so difficult to recognize any insignia, clothing or whatever. A couple of the backpacks do look like US backpacks.

Just the link since it is pretty much gore.

Warning **** Disturbing images.

But this is what war brings and why it should be avoided if possible.

Yes, I think ultimately they will do something like that.

Putin will be happy to keep the peace with his neighbors by giving them some portions, while still getting NATO off his front lawn. And of course, Belarus is a strong ally of Russia and Putin should actually be happy to give them part of the territory.

It would be a big mistake to give Poland and romania anything, on the contrary we should punish them harshly. i haven't figured out how yet. lol

Russian Skvorets, Harpoon, Piton, and Strizh-3 electronic warfare systems have been spotted in the Special Military Operation Area for the first time.

According to Russian and Ukrainian information resources, the use of the latest and unique electronic warfare systems has recently been spotted in the area of a special military operation. With their relatively short range, such systems are extremely effective, although, as the Ukrainian side claims, some measures have been developed to at least partially counteract such electronic warfare weapons.

In the video footage provided, one can see the systems themselves and when they were used against Ukrainian drones. The peculiarity of these Russian electronic warfare systems is that they are activated only when the enemy drones enter the damage zone, which enables effective suppression of drones that are used along the entire frontline.

Ukraine is receiving thousands of FPV drones from Taiwan that are fully ready for combat use.

Small drones capable of carrying munitions and easily destroying even heavily armored vehicles are being actively supplied to Ukraine from Taiwan. At the moment it is known that Ukrainian military, volunteers and mercenaries receive the drones fully equipped and can proceed to their direct use.

So far we have found out that Taiwan has already provided Ukraine with several thousand small drones. What is quite remarkable is that prices for such drones in other countries remain very high, but apparently. Ukraine can either get them for free or at a big discount, and judging by the photos of the drones, the latter are being prepared for combat use right in the factories that produce them.

Russian journalist Vladlen Tatarsky has previously spoken about the critical danger of these drones, noting that drones are capable of causing extremely serious damage in a single group raid, and therefore, despite their small size, very great attention should be paid to these targets.

It is noteworthy that Ukraine has begun to form special units to begin mass use of such drones.

NATO countries have lost over 2,000 soldiers in the Ukrainian conflict.

The Turkish publication Hürseda Haber has revealed details about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the entire special operation. It is specified that the data was allegedly obtained from the Israeli intelligence agency MOSSAD and includes information about losses of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The document states that NATO lost 2,458 soldiers and 234 trainers killed. Notably, but nowhere does it specify how the alliance's military might have been involved in combat operations against the Russian Armed Forces.

The list also reveals losses of the Ukrainian army as well: 157,000 dead, 234,000 wounded, and about 17,000 fighters were taken prisoner of war. Mercenaries also suffered serious losses: according to these unofficial figures, 5,360 foreign "soldiers of fortune" were killed in the SSO zone. [link to voennoedelo.com (secure)]

Former U.S. military advisor, retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas McGregor, speaking in an online program on one of the YouTube video hosting channels, said that General Valeriy Zaluzhniy, the commander-in-chief of the AFU, during his visit to the United States, informed the United States military leadership in confidence how many people Ukraine had actually lost since the beginning of the military conflict.

"When General Zaluzhny was in the United States, he met with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and <...> General Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. According to sources, he secretly told them that Ukraine had lost 257,000 people since the beginning of (combat operations. - Ed. note)",
explained to his interlocutors the former advisor of the US Department of Defense.
Recall that last week McGregor said that due to the lack of mobilization resources the Kiev regime has to take emergency measures and take into the ranks of the AFU even teenagers aged 13 years and limited in health citizens.

In addition, a retired US army officer praised the training of the Russian Armed Forces' personnel and the responsible approach of Russian servicemen to the implementation of combat tasks.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were abandoning their positions and armored vehicles in Kharkiv Region after the Russian Armed Forces' offensive. [link to voennoedelo.com (secure)]

A Russian drone captured unique footage of Ukrainian soldiers abandoning their wounded comrades-in-arms.

Enemy infantry and BMPs are practically in the open, and shells are falling and exploding nearby. At one point, the crew of the combat vehicle decides to urgently leave the danger zone, and the soldiers find themselves alone without cover. Wounded and shell-shocked, they start literally crawling on the ground, trying to find some cover. One of the artillery shells falls in close proximity to some soldiers and wounds them with shrapnel. The wreckage of a Tu-141 drone flying toward Moscow with a 100-kilogram bomb has been found near Kaluga.

After a powerful explosion rocked the Kaluga region tonight, specialists who arrived at the scene found the wreckage of a Tu-141 drone converted for use as a kamikaze drone. It turned out that the drone was carrying a 100-kilogram aerial bomb and, given its capabilities, it could well have reached the borders of Moscow.
The pictures show that the drone exploded in flight. So far there is no information about the impact of air defense, but at the crash site of the drone in the Kaluga region were found arrowheads as well as elements of a 100-kilogram high-explosive aerial bomb OFAB-100-120.

It is not known how exactly the drone managed to overcome unnoticed 300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, but it was flying at a low altitude almost all the time and may have hidden from the radar.
