We don't play by your rules, never will. Quoting: Lakeofmarch nli 85056434 And it might come down to the new USMCA agreement. With the US trying to force Mexico to buy our gmo corn. amlo should rip it up, and join the russia federation. let's see how the united states likes that ;) |

We don't play by your rules, never will. Quoting: Lakeofmarch nli 85056434 And it might come down to the new USMCA agreement. With the US trying to force Mexico to buy our gmo corn. I remember when the gmo corn first began to be grown, they swore up and down that it would be kept isolated and that there was NO WAY that it would/could ever interbreed with the regular corn. Well, surprise, it only took one or at the most two growing seasons before it hopped the fence and now ALL of our corn is gmo. Even organic corn, which I grow, can be an issue and cross pollinate. The way I try to stop it is to not plant my corn right beside gmo corn. But that's not so easy with gmo corn everywhere. |

The entire grocery stores here in Mexico are dominated by Monsanto and the worst companies. GMO soy oil and canola oil are in everything HFCS in everything Hydrogenated oils in everything The chip isle at the grocers practically glows, it’s all MSG These people the most of them are fat round and lumpy There is no such thing as coke with real sugar here anymore But they sell Mexican coke in the USA with real sugar as a novelty, although it doesn’t exist in Mexico anymore. 99% of Mexico drinks fluoridated bottles water from coke Pepsi and nestle. Candy drink from natural water sources in Mexico u less you one of the rare ones with a well. They don’t handle their septic, all their septic goes into rivers lakes and oceans. I don’t think there is a single big lake in Mexico that you can eat the risk out of, it’s all got human shit in it. It’s a shithole to walk around, it’s like living in a giant trash can. Everything is surrounded by walls and broken bottles on top of razer wire, No yards. It’s like living In a weird prison cell where even the neighbors put razer wire up between each other’s houses. You have to ignore the fact that if you leave anything unlocked there is always someone waiting to take your shit. Mexico is not perfect at all Number one I appreciate Mexico standing up against GMO. Number two are there even any seed providers left that could sell seeds to Mexican agriculture that are non-GMO? honest question I know Europe has banned GMO for almost a decade now but how do you restart seed production |

Quoting: NDFarm [link to thehill.com (secure)] 2023 farm bill discussion highlights concerns about Mexico’s GMO corn import ban Senators expressed concerns about Mexico’s plan to ban the import of genetically engineered corn during a Wednesday hearing on the 2023 farm bill, a piece of legislation that sets U.S. standards for agriculture and related policy. In 2020, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced the country would prohibit genetically modified corn by 2024, prompting U.S. lawmakers to worry that the change would hurt American farmers and violate trade agreements. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) asked Taylor about the Biden administration’s response to the GMO corn ban and if they would enforce trade agreements between the U.S. and Mexico in the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
